Where does he say he refuses to wear the rainbow for the sake of his religion? Just because he maybe goes to the mosque doesn't mean he won't drink and gamble, you're blaming religion on what he said but he's got a brain and free will. Maybe he just doesn't like homosexuality like 99% of football fans but yeah, religion.

In Africa homosexuality won't be tolerated by the Christians either so what's your point?

There should be no political messages through football because it's a sport watched in all countries, and by all cultures. No taking the knee while on the pitch, players should do that on their social media.

You can see my point above - they are hypocrites-believers. They want me to support them each time when they are being called monkeys and at the same time they don't want to support people who are being called 2nd class human beings because of their sexuality. Next time when people they will do monkey chants at Koulibaly, Gueye, Diallo I won't give a single fuck, enjoy being called monkey.

People are imperfect and come with all levels of intelligence. You're hating on something that has no bearing on your life.

I got to say tho, once they didn’t allow political affairs entering football.

Now people have to kneel, wear rainbows, we’re cancelling Russian athletes and stuff. And to be fair, many presidents probably don’t even give a fuck but they just don’t want to get some bad publicity.
When sanctions become discrimination.

Football clubs are supposed to be the role models because of the impact that they have on their fanbase and local communities and its literraly a BILLIONS of people. Look at Salah's case - his transfer has reduced intolerance towards Muslims from Liverpool fans. Even if you HATE LGBT people it won't do shit for you to play 1 match with rainbow colors.

this is a childish act from sport organizations like FIFA, coz athletes have nothing to do with the war and it wont fix anything against war.
Absolute bullshit. Why ukrainian athletes can't train? Because russian army is FUCKING BOMBING their cities, then why russian athletes can participate? Kick them out from every single sport federation

good, ban him for 5 matches

Yes, it will force atleast some athletes do something, to protest against the war, to publicly speak against it.
these actions from big sport organizations or something like foreign universities expelling russian students just makes people feel that theres harted towards ordinary russians.

Bruh. There is a mess going on in your head - one thing is when some imbecile ban Dostoevsky for what Putin did, it's an absolute retardation, and absolutely different thing is to ban russian athletes because ukrainians athletes can't train and compete because of Putin's actions.

wtf!
once again it’s bad for the people of Russia who are being penalised for something they didn’t do and want no part in. ukrainians athletes can't train but it completely has nothing to do with ordinary russians and not reflect all russians.

WE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT PUTIN IS DOING and the most famous russians are first in line, especially those who still keep silence

It really isn’t, it’s discrimination in my opinion.

Sanctions were against the Russian elite, not average Russian citizens who spent their lives training in order to become a athlete.
This is bullshit.

It's about sending a message. Citizens of a barbaric state cannot participate in civil events.

People who live in free democratic countries can't understand the connection between russian athletes, singers, artists and government, they can't understand this ussr government dna

I see it. a lot of companies are doing this. Together, they can in fact make quite a big impact and therefore will stimulate Russian citizens to protest against the government.

Even if you look at it at the different angle - Ukrainian athletes can't train then why Russian can? If you attack other Sovereign country you should be banned from everything and everywhere
I haven't seen USA athletes been banned! At the moment US is attacking Somalia because they didn't like who was elected to rule the country on democratic elections.
