I find the Libyan demonstrations most interesting.

Will his harem of female bodyguards get in on the action?
I'm sure they're a lot braver than he is. The supposedly :gsol:brave and courageous revolutionary:gsol: is nowhere to be seen in these days

    We live and hope.

Fred, can you give us a recap of what's been going on today?
    - In Benghazi over 100 died in a clash with an army battalion that is still loyal to Geddaffi, the battalion was sent by Gedaffi allegedly(unconfirmed) to save his son Saadi Gedaffi who has been unable to leave Benghazi up until now. The batallion used anti aircraft missiles and automatic weapons on the protestors

-There was some other clashes between citizens and security forces in Benghazi that took place during the funeral of some of the martyrs that died yesterday, the security forces opened fire on the civilians attending the funeral

    - For the first time hundreds went out to protest in the South, namely in Sebha, the South is the region which is perceived to be most loyal to Geddaffi.

    - All over cities in the East hundreds of thousands of protestors are taking the streets

    - In Zawya, Zentan and Rajban, 3 cities that are close to Tripoli in the West of Libya. People have taken the streets and burnt down what they call the "Mathaba", which is the biggest symbol of Geddaffi's regime, there are mathaba's in all of Libya's cities.

Many more news Tahir, but i tried in brief to give you the most important.
    Cheers

So parts of the army is with the people and some are still loyal to Gaddafi? And what about the police?

Who would you say has the momentum at the time?

It sucks there isn't any good coverage on this. Even the live blogs don't make any sense.

Warning. Extremely Graphic material, all 3 videos!

Benghazi, in a clash between protesters and "El-Fatheel" battalion.

Proof that Geddaffi is using African mercenaries in Benghazi, the mercenaries are given army uniforms and scarfs that are supposed to indicate that they're from the revolutionary councils

More proof of using African mercenaries

In Benghazi the army is with the people, but a separate army battalion has been sent by Gedaffi from the West to Benghazi, since his officers in Benghazi declared that they're with the people.

and yes, there isn't any good coverage at all, my news, i get it from websites and from friends in Libya.

Well, right now Geddaffi is obviously desperate, he's running out of solutions to respond to the East. I think that no matter how many he kills, the East is a losing battle. We still wait for Tripoli to do the same thing, the war is won and lost in Tripoli imo, if the people in Tripoli can revolt and take control of government buildings like Benghazi did, then Geddafi's time will almost officially be over. But he is containing Tripoli quite well up until now. The good news is cities like El Zawya, El Zentan and now even Gheryan which are all Western cities are starting to revolt and are burning down all pictures and monuments with El Geddafi's face on them.

The thing is people in Libya now don't really care about death anymore, people are attacking security forces using sticks and knives, despite security forces having automatic weapons and guns. My prediction is that Geddaffi only has a week at most left.

Police and security forces now using gunfire in Tripoli as well. Youth of Tripoli chanting, Benghazi you are not alone.

Confirmation that some of the people that were shot dead during the funeral held today for the martyrs in Benghazi, some of them were women and children. Security forces used both snipers and random shooters using semi automatic weapons
