-vidal cost less than matri

-we actually loaned isla, and vidal is still here

-we didnt win any war, marotta was simply trying to protect his ass with his media outings, because this board would sell vidal if we got the 50 mil offer

finally and this is very important, enough of the peasant stuff
Vidal is a midfielder we got in an excellent deal. Matri and Morata were bought when the seller knew we were in need of a forward.

Your hate of Marotta blinds you. He never wanted to sell Vidal and has repeated this since forever. There is no reason to think he had specific reasons to not sell him, and if United would offer 50mil we'd still say no, wich they probably did. Our philospphy is we dont sell unless a ludicrous offer comes in, and it didnt came.

I'll stop with the peasant stuff, if i stop getting trolled

It is what it is, everyone has an opinion. But it's interesting to see how opinions shift from one season to the next. I still remember I was excited when we signed Amauri/Krasic...turned out to blow up in our faces but I guarantee next season we will see the same excuses/finger pointing and the exact same line in the sand with the same members in the same groups on the same side of the line. Nothing will change. Only way to change it is to sign a Falcao/Di Maria with negotiations lasing a day only because anything longer the ratings will drop because negotiations took too long. (hehe)
Its just so odd. We signed youngsters who are ready to battle for first team (alot more then what can be said from the italian primavera, altho Sturaro and hopefully Berardi get at this point next year) and i'm very excited to see how they'll progress this year and how the team fares.

Calcio fans need to wake up, we live in some kind of dream. This mercato shows that Italian football is on level of Portugal.
It shows juventus is taking the right path, and other italian teams apart from roma are all improving with low cost deals.

This isnt the EPL

Pereyra is not the "6th choise cm". He's a player that has been the best in the trequartista role when we used such position in the preseason, and becomes the first name on the sheet if we play wingers.

Calling him the "6th cm" is not very intelligent
So you mean Pereyra is our trequartista/winger? If so, thats even worse. He's so amazing that he didn't even get playing time with Pirlo out, newbie Coman got to start ahead and Allegri chose a back 3 without Barzagli and Chiellini available and with Ogbonna, Cacares and Bonucci.

Pereyra is the worst signing this summer, by far. Romulo I can understand, he's vice Licht. Morata is a quality talent that can develop into a star(if so he's back to Madrid, but that is a depressing story for another time). Pereyra signing is useless.

bro pls

Pereyra is a versatile player we need the moment we switch to wingers. I never said he was amazing, but he was the best trequartista we used so far. Coman starting ahead is simly because Coman is the better player.

You should be fucking happy and gratefull Marotta gave us Coman.

your love for marotta blinds you, see how it works. and it;s obvious a sale was being considered simply based on the change of answer in marotta interviews, not to mention the way this saga dragged, if indeed there was no possibility this could have been squashed in day 1.

Troll or not, you cant address a big portion of the forum in that way, if you want to discuss it, hit me on pm, but this is definitive.

Well, we've committed 17m on him so he better be amazing. Part of that money could have been invested somewhere else, which I guess is why many people don't like this mercato. Beggars can't be choosers, if you have some 17m lying around how about not spending it on a guy who is not good enough in a position you are stacked at?

Different formations I mean. From the usual 352 to back 4 with a creative player.
We didn't need him to move from a 3-5-2.

Anyway, he's a winger/AM who played for Udinese and went mostly unnoticed by calcio viewers for 3 years, so that's a reason for my skepticism. I doubt he's much of a creative talent.

17mil is a substancial fee indeed. but he was bought with an eye on winger play in the future, not as a 6th cm.

My only regret is that we didnt sign nastasic

We gave Udinese 1.5M this year.

After this year we can buy him for another 14M which is payable over 3 years.

If he meets certain goals by 2020 they get another 1.5M.

We didn't just dump 17M on their doorstep.

Pirlo is about done and Asamoah's future is at LB. We were going to sign another CM next year anyway. The 14M payable over 3 years is too much for me, I would prefer something like 10. Pereyra's transfer is not 10/10 for me either. It does not sink our whole mercato and hey, maybe he turns out to be useful.

I said committed 17m. Just cuz you don't pay it all at once doesn't mean it becomes less ffs.
