you are right to have your opinion but people who know alot about soccer think otherwise. He is one of the top rated mids in the world in most top coaches mind (as they have said), was voted among the best players in the world and has statistics to back it up.

But we all have our own opinions... just they are not always correct :)
You know what you're right. People who know a lot about ‘soccer’ think otherwise. The same people who think Totti is not world class because he has never ‘won anything’ I guess they don’t know what the Golden Boot is or I don’t know the World Cup. Their opinions mean nothing to me. I have seen him play against teams I follow as well as for the NT. Also most of his goals are off deflections off free kicks which are good if you are striker but he is a midfielder. Not to mention the rest of his goals are off penalties. We need someone who is going to be creating our goal chances . Lamps mainly just kicks the ball in the net when the forwards cannot. On top of that, he has no defensive capabilities which is why his limitations tend to show up more often on the NT level due to the fact that he doesn’t have Makelele to cover him . I’m not saying he is an average player. He is better than your average midfielder but he is not the best in his position or even top 5. There are better all around players who play the same position he does. He just has an amazing goal scoring record but as many people have pointed out that’s not needed at Juventus. We need someone with creativity.

I am not the only one who thinks Lamps is overrated and not the best in his position. Ask EPL fans and many will agree. He has his good qualities as well as negatives and I think his negatives are why we should not have him on our team. His negatives will just add to our problems.

PS I don't fall for all the EPL player hype. I make my own judgments on whether a player is good from what I see on the pitch.

consistent worker, which really in turn makes him a hard worker ;)
 Don´t make me laugh.

If you're talking about Diego and VDV,then that's probably wishful thinking. Not to say that we shouldnt look for better players, but Lampard is probably the one world class midfielder(Yes,world class) player that we have a very good chance of signing.
We have a great chance of signing Van dr Vaart who is head and shoulders above Lampard and he has a longer future.

how is a MIDFIELDER that socres so many goals in one of the top leagues not world class?
Because he didn´t prove it anywhere else out of EPL.

Well according to you then I guess Ronaldhino isn't a world class player since he underperforming with both his club and national team. :xmas:
Don´t compare Ronaldinho to Lampard. Ronaldinho doesn´t have much to prove, unlike Lamps.

Yea but this players all started playing in Italy when they were young and now they got 7+ years under there belts...Frank will be 30 next year so adaptation is the key...But anyway we don't need him IMO so much...As he would be a fan favorit?hmmmm...don't think so...Get Diego...pls
And some young italian like Fernando Forestieri (FW) and Dossena (DM)...
Good point.

Looks like CR plans for 4-1-3-2 next year, Camo/Quag(?) on the right and VdV/Giov on the left with C.Zanetti or Nocerino behind. Creativity will come from the wings, not the centre. Trez/Iaquinta/Hunter(?) upfront. If this is the case Lampard would be a perfect player to convert the scraps and deflections into goals.

Not sure what you guys think Lampard has still to prove anyway. He scores almost as many in the EPL as Henry used to and form for the national team..? Scholes was crap for England, has been great for MU or even how about Totti or DP for Italy?

All Lampard has to prove is that he can change leagues.

where and when did Van der Vaart prove that he's better than Lampard?? I agree with the notion that Van der Vaart is probably more suited for Juve and is much younger..but you cant say that he's head and shoulders above Lampard..when he clearly hasnt proven it.

Because he didn´t prove it anywhere else out of EPL.
CL?

Ranieri plays down Lampard link

Ranieri plays down Lampard link

Juventus manager Claudio Ranieri has played down reports linking him with a swoop for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

The former Blues boss admitted that he would like to have the England international in his squad, but ruled out making a bid for him.

"I have read everywhere that Lampard is linked with Ranieri but it is not true," said Ranieri in The Mirror.

"Of course I would like him and Kaka and Messi and Ronaldinho. Which manager doesn't want the big champions?

"It is just the money. To buy big champions you need a lot of money. That is the big problem in Italy not just Juventus.

"At the moment I will not be making a move for Lampard."

The 56-year-old also dismissed suggestions that he was targeting a precontract deal with Aston Villa's Olof Mellberg.

"I know nothing at the moment," stated Ranieri.

Something funny about players that apparently meet your self proclaimd 'Juventus Philosophy'?Juventus dont have a great chance of signing Van Der Vaart. If you think that we have a great chance of signing someone who has himself said that he's like to move to Spain over a player who would like to play for Ranieri and is better suited to our system, then you probably have another thing coming. And for the record,Lampard has proven himself in the CL.Instead of sprading bullshit here, try watching more of his matches.Van Der Vaart has a longer future than Lampard, but then so do a gazillion players around the planet.VDV is not head and shoulders above Lampard.Like,i said, try watching Lampard play for once before you enlighten us with your oh so intelligent comments.

honestly since when does a players personal life effect his transfer, i mean its not like he is a trouble maker with a clubs management. so what if he is dressed funny does'nt really play a big role in his qualities as a player and probably is a better signing compared to the current flops we have ( tiago, and almiron).

Since we have an on form and pretty effective Zanetti
and a rapidly growing Nocerino,
i would favor Lampard in front of Sissoko for his more creative abilities and Giovinco as his sub or Neddy's successor...
