i know, with the players they have they should be doing much better, but the coach is worthless.
gerrard likes to attack too much,in both of ur systems you use him as a def mid,i dont think its going to work that well
i would use
----------------rooney----------------
cole--lamps-gerrard--becham/lennon
-----------hargreaves----------
lamps n gerrard can take it in turns to roam into the box
(mclaren is bound to drop bechakm again in a few matches)

You can't seriously suggest England play without Owen, their main goal-scorer.

Barcelona sporting director Txiki Beguiristain has ruled out a move for Chelsea star Frank Lampard.

Lampard has been mooted as a potential target for Barcelona as doubts continue to grow over his future at Stamford Bridge.

The England international has so far failed to agree a new deal at Chelsea with contract talks stalling.

The news has alerted a number of top clubs across Europe and although Barca are admirers of Lampard they insist they will not be making a move for the midfielder as they are well stocked in that position.

"I think he is an extraordinary player characterised by his shots on goal and the number of goals he scores," Beguiristain told Sky Sports News.

"But when you look at our squad we are currently really well catered for in that department.

"We have got players like Deco, Xavi and Iniesta who have similar characteristics as well as amazing control of the ball.

"At the moment we are really happy with our trio of midfielders.

"So as things stand there really isn't space for another player of this type."

Please stay at Chelsea, Frank...

Honestly we don't need him, Juve need players with the Fire of Gattuso in Midfield and Skills of Deco, Lampard is either here or there.

Ranieri In £12m Move For Lampard - Report

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Frank Lampard is set to join Claudio Ranieri at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

The England international is on the verge of leaving Chelsea after falling out over a new contract, and it was thought that Barcelona would be his first priority.

However, the Catalans have since pulled out of the running, with technical chief Txiki Begiristain announcing yesterday that there was simply no place for Lampard in their team.

Juventus have responded to that by upping the ante, and the Daily Mirror suggests that Ranieri wants to sign the Chelsea midfielder for £12million.

Lampard and Ranieri know each other very well from the coach's spell at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, it was none other than Ranieri who signed Lampard from West Ham for £11m in 2001. The 55-year-old is hoping to lure the midfielder to play under him again.

The report also suggests that Claudio Ranieri has been armed with a massive 100 million euro transfer war chest, almost double the sum that was being rumoured in Italy.
