Idk why but I think it's going to be Allegri. Messi is fed up and wants to win, they need someone successful who will command respect and Bartomeu is desperate for anything that will vindicate his rein. If he goes out as the president who handed RM the title, lost Neymar and Messi etc. he won't be able to show his head in Barcelona anymore.

They have a team that suits Max's 4312. Messi in that space between midfield and attack would finally be the tuttocampista he wanted Dybala to be.

Their identity and culture seems to be more important to them. They are hoping each time that another Guardiola arrives, but if they don't get player selection right they will never reach those levels.

They should be hoping a new Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol and Messi arrive. A monkey could coach that monstrosity roster and he did, winning CL only with them and not with any other team he coached

Exactly that. Having prime Ronaldinho plus young Messi, THAT midfield and all the good supporting cast. I don't think that kind of team comes together for another couple of decades.

Yeah mid to late 20s is when he took a sudden improvement from watercarrying roleolayer to a top defending leader.

Would hard from him to come good at late 30s when he retired around age 35.
