I agree, but he was pretty poor today, only thing he did right was almost that run and attack, couple of times he made a decent attempt at the box, but in general his passing and shooting was subpar today, clearly very unfamiliar with how to play CM, his natural position, been too long. Plus had too much offensive responsibility for his qualities.

That last part about offensive, it's totally the club mistake inherited from conte, we are fooling ourself with expecting and relying on central midfielders (him marchisio pogba vidal) to play as attacking midfielders, no matter how good our cm are in the end they just don't and can't provide us with that 'edge' in a consistent way that talented enough am could.

stupid for us to keep making that mistake, that's why I am totally pro with the idea to swap one of our excellent cm for am equivalent like mata or isco; especially if we insist on that 3-5-2.
