Injuries at the knee's cartilage (or whatever in English) are really tough to solve, because cartilage doesn't regenerates, and the lack of it let bones rub and causes immense pain.
It's fairly common in the NBA and guys like Oden or Bynum had their careers shortened by it.
The first time he went out, in November, they said he'd stay 3 or 4 months out. Look at us now, it's been 10 months.
I'm not sure this guy is ever really going to be back, at least on the highest level. This can be a huge loss. Asamoah can't be counted on, and suddenly our midfield depth is horrible.
Marotta will have to go for a CM.
