It's not the isolated signings. It's the big picture that's the problem. You can always argue that every single signing made sense in it's own context. But at the end (so far) of it all we haven't improved our starting lineup, we lost our Coach and our team depends on players who are 30+. Rejuvenation.. on it's way? Nope.

Exactly... Old squad and that's why we invested in Sturaro, Morata, Coman, Pereyra. Clear for everyone to see. This Manolas guy (or Nastasic forthat matter) would fit the same logic.
