How useful was morata during city when he was on the left?
I posted this before. But people don't realize how much defensive work Morata does. He was our second leading tackler in the match with 4 tackles, had 1 interception and 1 clearance.

He also led our team with 3 shots, 2 on target, was tied with Paul Pogba for tops on the team with 2 key passes, led our team with 5 aerial duals won, 2nd on the team with 2 drawn fouls, and scored a goal... All while playing on the left, which was still his position after Dybala came on.

If you bothered to watch you would have noticed he was only asked to stay on the left defensively, and in attack he was all over the pitch, even in the first half. He was dead central like a Number 9 when he stupidly went for the ball from an offside position which made Pogba's goal not count.

The worst aspect of his game yesterday had nothing to do with his position on the field, it had to do with his rustiness from missing preseason, and that was his ball control. He had 5 bad touches where he lost the ball, and then another 2 times he was dispossessed. But that has absolutely nothing to do with playing on the left.

I would argue that because of his defensive contribution, his heavy involvement in our attacking game (however bad many of his touches were), his ability to go up and win the ball in the air for us, and his goal... he actually had quite a good match.

Robbed.

When was the last time a robber gave the victim 28 million Euros?

Hell, better yet...when was the last time a robber gave its victim 8m and promised 20m more if they decided to keep it in two years?

Crazy talk, Fresh. CRAZY!

Damn, i just hope that he doesn't turns into Henry 2.0
too late,

Coman is already showing his worth getting 4 of 5 star rating by goal.com. Please do not say that has anything to do with his opponent (darmstadts left back) fabian holland being the new zambrotta and actually getting bought by darmstadt for a whopping 350k euros this summer. it is all our fault. we did play coman in the wrong position and against the wrong opponents. why didn't we play him against players that are worth less than half of what coman earned for us per year?

but please see the upside of the deal. if bayern buy coman, we will be able to buy the whole 28 player squad of darmstadt and still have a spare 10 million euros laying around.

Half the people on this forum would probably look useful playing in the BuLi with the rest of the Bayern team around them ffs. Coman's obviously talented but he looked nowhere near good enough in almost all of his appearances. Even if we did switch to 4-3-3 from here on in, he'd still get benched most of the time.
Something tells me this is hyperbole...

The first part, obviously. But there's absolutely nothing to indicate he'd have got playing time in any formation at Juve with the way he failed miserably to take his limited chances.

Morata would start even in a 4-3-3 in big games for his work rate and clutch ability. Pereyra would start ahead of Coman and i'm guessing he'd get about 2 starts a season if we stuck with a something-something-2 formation.

I agree with you on this. One of the reasons for our shit start to the season is just as Allegri showed faith and confidence in him with his selection, kid failed even to have any sorta impact and jump shipped the next opportunity to go 2nd fiddle somewhere else.

Coman is the new Giovinco of tuz.

I'm not saying that he will end up as bad as Giovinco, oh no. I'm saying that this kid will have fanatic followers for the next 5 years and whenever he does well, this thread will be revived with 5 pages of people saying how he should be playing for Juventus right now. Kind of like Giovinco loan times. Then if he ever comes back they will hype him beyond imagination. And then if he plays bad we will hear about him playing out of position and the coach ruining his potential.

At this point I think I would rather see Bayern buy him for that low 28m than having to live through Giovinco2.0 era.
