I think what people defending this don't understand is the pointlessness of this move as things currently stand. If this gets makes up the difference between getting a mediocre CAM and a top level CAM, it's an excellent move, although it proves Beppe was talking out his ass when he said money was not an issue. If we end up with a mediocre CAM, or even worse, no CAM, and some shit midfielder like Witsel instead, this move is 100% pointless and therefore stupid. This kid has tons of potential. He hasn't expressed it yet, but he's only just turned 19. He still managed to impress in training enough to get starts in our first two matches this year and in a position that doesn't entirely suit him. Why sell him, unless we're going to upgrade our team by getting a top CAM, which our coach has been asking for...
SO... Coman sold and top CAM comes in = great move regardless of if he explodes or not.
Coman sold and mediocre/no CAM comes in = borderline idiotic move.
You don't sell your highest potential 19 year old prospect unless it's to finance a move to improve the team. If Beppe fails to land a top player now, this is a very big mistake in my opinion.
