I agree.

Peluso and Padoin definitely look like Conte's signings, given the fact he had already worked with them.

There's also Ogbonna, Giovinco, Asamoah, Isla, Giaccherini...

Is it a coincidence that most of Marotta's best signings came from overseas?
Amazing that the most "average" of all our players were the ones that Conte wanted and were rarely blasted for because they were , after all, the infamous "squad" players that a very select few here love to bash Marotta for signing (even at the will of Conte).

But hey, Conte could do no wrong and if he did it was going to be Marotta's fault. :howler:

Those "few" are often irritating indeed but do you realise that your argument is also based on nothing but an assumption?

Of course. Devil's Advocate here. My argument is that some here that claim Padoin/Peluso were more of Conte's doing than the players that flop in which the blame would be placed on Marotta as the scapegoat. There is no middle ground. Any average player that does reasonably well would be Conte's choice but any average player that flops is Marotta's fault.

No end product.
Too much of a gamble.
Buckles under pressure.
Inexperienced.

Sell.
