Doesn't have the leadership qualities. Guler on the other hand does, it's not even about skill as much as it's about him taking ownership and having a go and stop looking for one twos. It's like he is focused on tactics too much. Hopefully Motta will give him a little more freedom and slowly he will pick up more responsibility to lead.

ADP had shit tournaments for italy at a young age as well. Give yildiz a break and see what he can do under a new modern manager.

Also he spent majority of the game covering Kadiouglu in defense while he was bombing forward and running all over the place.

Still I agree, Guler have that aura/vibe of big game players, unlike Yildiz.

Thought he has good in the Group stage but not so good in the knockouts.

Covering for the LB and Turkey sitting so deep at times restricted him. He still created a dangerous chance tonight with a shot. He's 19 and in his first season of senior football, I'd say overall it was a positive tournament for him.

Out of all the U20 talents in the tournament, he was easily the most underwhelming IMO. It’s fine, not a big deal. Good experience nonetheless. But he has a long way to go.

but people think he is ready to carry the team ahead instead of chiesa.

he might go through the vinicus jr sort of development though where he just becomes better as he plays but that means rest of team needs to carry him like madrid did for 3 seasons.

Seems like an exaggeration, there were quite a few under 20s at the tournament that did less than him, most with few minutes.

He definitely wasn't as good as Yamal or Guler. But they are a different level of player and have potential to be generational talents.

Chiesa fully fit and form can definitely carry the team, just haven't seen him like that since his major injury. Then again he played under allegri so who the fuck knows.

Yeah low bar, only 7 players (19 or under) have played in the tournament to date.

It's fair to say Yildiz is third best for now

While mainoo was tested against the likes of Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, Yildiz was tested against much superior opposition and tactically given an unusual role to what he's used to.
