Weren't there rumors he had alienated Lazio teammates because of his ego? I remember reading that he thinks he is the next coming of C. Ronaldo

Has some pretty good numbers this season for a winger though

For 30mil we should be asking for Felipe Anderson instead though

Balde is better attacker, Felipe is better playmaker and natural winger who can be versatile and supportive player in various ways.
Same. Younger, more versatile and tons of potential. Needs to fix his attitude though.
:D

I have a feeling Keita has a higher ceiling than Anderson, who looks like he already reached his full potential. But that's just me :p

You meant be right, Keita is showing he has better end product, decisive attacker in terms of finishing off attacks, and doesnt seem to be just form as it was previously with Felipe.

But Felipe is overall better all around midfielder for me. Even if his decision making is suspect (he was garbage for Brasil in Olympics) his technical and creative skillset has high ceiling to go places if he develops further.

I wouldnt care a bit if we avoided both btw.

I'd rather have Balde than Anderson.
Yep. But tbh I don't even know how Keita's season was.

Having said that I personally think Anderson will never reach his full potential. He's got some skills, some cleverness with the ball but then so do a thousand other Brazilians and going from that to actually getting to the next level is a whole 'nother story. He doesn't strike me as a special player.

This will sound racist, but who was the last truly world class offensive player from africa? Was it drogba or etoo? And who was the last wc african player in any position for that matter?

I'd think thrice before signing african talents and hoping them to be wc.

There is also Aubameyang from Gabon.

Essien was a monster.

many don't consider aubameyang as wc, essien was good but was he truly wc?

the point is, stats don't lie, there is serious lack of wc players from africa so we should be careful when signing one, especially someone like this guy who was stated in an article that he already think he's on cr7 level and demanded special treatment.

Yaya Toure was worldclass at Barca and early on at City.

Also Keita is born in Spain and grew up there, before moving to Italy at 16. His story is more similar to Pogba and other European-African players who completely went through the european football system.

Only problem with Keita is his attitude. If i remember correctly the only reason why he left Barca for Lazio in 2011 is because Barca didn't want him anymore because of his behaviour. And that pattern has continued at Lazio.
