Interesting you say that because I've always thought he was a more technical player, a playmaker perhaps. If they bought him they should have known that his best position is central and not on the wing. You said if he stays, they have to keep Puel because I think with the given continuity he can do great things there, regardless of their season this year. But who knows what Aulas will do, and wether he'll decide to sell Benzema, because in the past he's reject a lot of money for him.

He has. I think Puel should stay too. He's a good coach, he just came to Lyon at the wrong time, when their cycle ended. If they kept their players and added a couple of quality wingers to the side, i think they can still regain their form.

That would leave us with 3 amazing strikers in DP, Benz and Amauri, now should we play a 4231 then 3 strikers is perfect...even a 4312 or 4321 I still think 3 is sufficient. Plus Gio can cover up top should the need call for it with injuries or something

I dont think Benzema will leave Lyon this season. But if we make Diego the big signing this season then can somehow get Benzema next season (lock a deal down before the world cup). We would have a sick attack. Benzema is one of the top players in the world and getting him would be huge as he is a class above.

Too bad the sources linking us with Benzema are Tuttosport and that other site we aren't really fond of over here. Not to mention that his price tag is far more than many are speculating here, specially if we get a hold on Diego, Benzema will be way out of our reach.
