I pray for an easy group. With our extremely average and anemic attack, we'll get destroyed (ok, maybe not destroyed, but totally exposed) by quality opposition.

No Barca, Madrid, City, Chelsea, or Bayern.

Let's hope our defense hold up, and our midfielders continue to supply the goals.

Very funny. Why don't you try to be objective and argue with me like a man for once, just once :D

Do you disagree with what I said, or do you actually think our stellar attack is going to carry us far in the CL?

I refuse to be delusional and think we can take on the likes of the PL giants, Barca, Madrid, and Bayern. Remember last time we played Bayern? We got raped @ home after being 1-0 up. So, excuse me if I want a fucking easy group early on, and would rather delay meeting the big guns later (Quarters, if we get that far), as then anything can happen ;)

We never looked like a team that year. Our defence with the likes of Grosso and Grygery was awful, midfield with Sissoko and Melo players who can't pass the ball straight and don't forget Amauri in attack. Bayern reached final that year and played some very good football.
Now it's a whole different thing. We look very solid and I wouldn't be so sure that we aren't on a same level with some of the clubs you mentioned.
And we already have beaten Bayern this season. In European Championship semi-final 2-1 :D

Once? Are you fucking kidding me here? You call your posts "arguments"?

Let me please you.

If you really think that we'll be destroyed if we face a top team in the CL with our current bunch of forwards, then you just can't stop confirming how delusional you are. Why are you even comparing this team with 3 years ago anyway? The quality invested in this team is so much better than that year, it's not even funny. Of course we will find it harder to score goals, to close a game and to penetrate defenses, but it's not going to be the end of the fucking world as you are claiming neither.

I said destroyed is an exaggeration, but we will be exposed. I'm not expecting us to get humiliated, but our lack of quality in attack will be evident for all to see, and shall be our downfall. If we get an easy group, I see us progressing to the Quarters (potentially). Anything beyond that is a stretch at this point in time.

We all thought the same last season. We compensated that exposure by having all the players in the squad score at least a goal each. We'll find better opponents in Europe, but we're an even better team now as well. Quarter Finals for this team would be a HUGE result.
