since our record in UCL in this past decade surely took massive hit due to calciopoli and last 2 seasons horror shows, I guess I won't be surprised if we will be ranked as 3rd class club and it's highly probably that we'll be in a group of death with the likes of United, Dortmund and some portugal/swiss/france/scandinavian champion or such...

anyone can clarify our position in europe next year?

I'd rather be placed with Barca, Man Shitty and PSG(dunno if possible). All three teams are despicable and I want Conte to make them cry.

For this and thew next year, we will be in pot 3, but we have nothing to fear if we play like we play this year.
Of course we will see how our current state is translated in Europe, but considering what we did to Milan and Napoli, its likely we can cope!

    We'll be in pot 3. That's a sure thing.

Here's another interesting but rather disappointing info about Italian football.
There is a strong chance that for the first time in CL history not a single Italian team will be among the seeders in the CL draw.

This is how it can happen... These are the CL coefficients right now:
    1. FC Barcelona 156.465
    2. Manchester United 141.757
    3. Chelsea 130.757
    4. Bayern München 128.903
    5. Real Madrid 119.465
    6. Arsenal 113.757
    7. Internazionale 104.996
    8. FC Porto Por 98.002
    9. Olympique Lyon 94.835
    10. Atlético Madrid 93.465
    11. Liverpool 90.757
    12. AC Milan 89.996
    13. Valencia 89.465

The best 8 of these teams, that will make the CL, will be the seeded in the CL groups draw.
Barcelona, Manchester, Bayern, Real, Arsenal and Porto will make the CL.
If Inter don't make top 3 in serie A (very possible), if Lyon make the top 3 in the French league and then win the qualifying round for CL (50-50 chance because Lyon are now 4th in France, 3 points behind the third placed Lille) and if Valencia get at least one draw in the Europa league semis with which they will overtake Milan in the coefficient standings (very possible), then there won't be any Italian teams among the seeders. If Chelsea somehow make top 4 in England, then it becomes even more possible that Milan will end up in pot 2.

Alen, what must juve do to return to the top 5? reaching semifinals in 3 consecutive years?
That might and might not be enough. As you can see in the coefficient list above, the teams with ~120.00 points are in top 5, which means an average of 24-25 points per year, since the last 5 years are counted.
2-3 very good years and 2-3 solid years would be enough for Juve to be in top 5. Say 2 semifinals, 2 quarterfinals and one 1/8 final in the following 5 years would be enough for Juve to make the top 8 and be seeded in the CL group draws.

let's formulate a worst case scenario... dortmund, juve, lyon, barcelona... hmmm ouch...
that won't be too bad IMO.

And I agree with what the rest said, bring on the toughest group next season. I truly believe we can beat them (if we played as good as this season).
