Where did I say we are going to get crushed? I said underdogs and potentially finish bottom in that group in that particular post. How does that equate to crushed?

It's very probable that we would finish bottom of a group containing the likes of Barca, City, and Dortmund. If we can't score goals, and concede, then it's not an unreasonable concern!
If we can't get a result against City and Dortmund then why the hell we're participating in the CL?

:boh: You are disregarding the Champions of England and Germany as if they are nothing. They participated in, and won titles in two leagues that are arguably stronger and more competitive than Serie A.

Germany more competitive. lol
Only Bayern can progress from group stages. You really are underestimating Italians.

You're underestimating our team so much. I know that we need couple of seasons in Europe before we can compete in it but being at the bottom against the likes of City and Dortmund is too much to even think about.

Oh wait, wait. What? Udinese didn't even make it to the CL proper. Milan look like a bunch of amateurs this season, so we shall see.

I'm not saying it's certain to happen, but in a group with Barca, City, and Dortmund, we might finish bottom. It's a distinct possibility, but finishing 3'rd is more likely.

Neither did Gladbach so what does it prove? How many CL's have been won by german clubs in the last 10 years? How many finalist or semi finalists? In Europa league it's a different story becuse italians don't give a shit.

The German league has more money, better infrastructure, and more coefficient points, not to mention representatives in the CL. I said arguably stronger than Serie A btw, and for many people who aren't infatuated with Serie A, the statement that the German league is "stronger and better" hold true. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it's arguable, and those who argue for it might have a valid point.

By your standards Dortmund would be at least CL finalist every year. I will make a list of European countries with better stadiums: Spain, England, Germany, Austria, Switzerlan, Poland, Ukraine, France, Belgium, Holland... Does it make Serie A clubs inferior to all of those countries? My point is that in CL italians generally play better and Juve is certanly not an underdog to Dortmund as you suggested.

so am I! but not every dutch guy on here has sport 1 ( i think )
I'm not willing to pay 15 E a month either for watching the Prem and barca/RM. Besides Sport1 is really a disgrace to TV, the commentators should be shot dead.

They only broadcast a couple of Serie A games a month.

I didn't say we'd be an underdog to Dortmund in that group, but we'd be underdogs to progress, as Barca and City clearly have superior squads, especially in the attacking department (far superior) to ours.

Serie A is a far cry from what it used to be.

I can't fear City and Mancini in the CL.

I think we're better than pretty much every team in pot 2.

As long as Mancini is there, we have nothing to be afraid of.

Pot 2 is silly. We can beat any team from there. On the othere hand they would be delighted to avoid us.
