Michael that was wath i said about the 15 mil and his agent. I think Abidal will come as RB and Balza will be his sub and Zebina out and Biri in retirement...

I agree, just because there are good players out there doesn't mean we have to buy them all.

LB is a position we have already covered, if he can play as a RB and is defensive wise better than Zebina, then he is welcomed...
did Andy means center as midfield?
Centrally as in the center of the defense. Again, Abidal can play either leftback or centerback... he played the latter for Lille and nowadays sometimes for Lyon. Not sure why people think he cannot play centrally..

He sure is able to play centreback, but the question is how much of an improvement he will be over Kovac and Boumsong. I am not questioning his CB abilities, but I think what we need in Serie A is a top quality defender. Something Cannavaresque.

I don't think Barzagli is the answer, and it's not like we have loads of money to spend either. IMO Abidal would be our best defender.

Nor do I. In fact, I have no ideas of who could be the answer. From what I saw of Eric in the WC, he was probably France's weakest link initially, but improved as the tournament went.

The sole fact that he hasn't played CB regularly the past few years is worrisome if we do purchase him for that role. He'd make a great LB in Juventus though, but as mark said that position should be the least of our concerns.

Balza, Molinaro and De Ceglie are not solutions.

If we want success, we have to buy good defenders.

And these three are just average backups IMO.

Balza is shit, the weakest link in our defense beside Birindelli.

i agree...we need 2 good CBs and a capable CMF/AMF...chiellini can do the job at LB and zebina is good enough as RB

I seriously think that Balza is overrated by some fans...and probably DD think the same because if u watch Balza hasnt made a lot of games...And Abidal can play as rb and chiellini as lb. i dont see a prob to swap the wing if it needed. And Abidal is now at the moment one of the best wingbacks in the world.

We cannot got into serieA with the defence we already got. And we cant spend too much either. Abidal is valued around £9m according ti Lyon. At bit steep! cant see him coming to us. Faty maybe seeing as his contracts expiring. We need to look long and hard for replacements.

we haven't money for another left back

If you look closely at Juventus Transfer Market last summer, you will see that Juve earned nearly 100 mil. EUROS which will be paid in 2 years.

Add to that cash injection from Agnelli´s and we definitely have money.

We just have to spend it wisely.

important targets must be Bojinov,Barzagli,Mascherano

if we can buy them all, abidal would be good replacement

Bojinov is a piece of cake.

Barzagli and Macherano won´t be easy and cheap.
