I'll paraphrase.

Basically, France never had a national team, because no player who ever played for that team is actually French. Just because someone was born in France, started his career in a French club, does not speak any other language than French and has never lived in a country other than France does not give him the right to be French, damn it!

OK Martin u got a point ..

We all know that they have french passports .. It's not my problem they are soft in immigration policies ..

At the end it's what a person does that make him/her better than others ..

Ask the German or the Swiss NT Coach how many real Germans or Swiss they have in their Teams. But thats the way live goes. If they feel French, German, Swiss or Italian then they should play for this NT. The last example is the Argie-Italie Guy from Genova. Or Higuain: Half Argie Half French...

our last true french player is Deschamps(Trezeguet half argentinian,Boumsong african,Zebina is too,Zidane is algerian)
Wasnt DD half "Basque"(spell) too?? :D LOL

Guys give them a break, they are more French, than Deco is Portuguess:D

If a player makes the lifetime choice and pick a NT, its fine with me (maybe not fair but...),
but he souldnt, at any case, be like Di Stefano and play for more...

I think there's a difference between Zidane, and lets say Adu. Aside from the obvious class differance, some clearly changed nationalities intentionally for their own personal benifit and some just happen to eventually become a certain nationality regardless of where they were from.

Adu's mother wanted to leave Ghana and Freddy was schooled and everything in the States. Supposedly they won an immigration lottery and shipped themselves out for necessity purposes even though in economics people really don't "need" anything.

I'don't know why Juve are interested in Abidal because on that side we have already Chiellini. We need only a sub for chiellini.

but he's primarily a full back. why would we buy someone who can play center instead of someone who actually is a center back?
If he's capable and better than the players we already have at said position and could come at a reasonable price... why not..

still, he's not good enough to lead the back line in a strong serie a team. dont kniow, i'd go for barzagli. 25m is a joke and whoever thought of that number knows it. i think ir perfectly possible to get him for less than 10m and id defo go for that.

Because it is better to have versatile player.

LB is a position we have already covered, if he can play as a RB and is defensive wise better than Zebina, then he is welcomed...
did Andy means center as midfield?
