corruption is rife in football in general not just in italy, in scotland the old firm got their nick name as there was a series of money spinning cup final replays (back when they played over and over till there was a winner) and the "agreement" in place seen them given this name which has stuck since.
all obver the fooball world there has been cases of ref's taking bribes and clubs coming to agreements thatw ere mutually beneficial. we deserve everything we have got coming to us, for years we have laughed and joked about moggi's shady dealings but now all our chickens have come home to roost and we are in a mess of our own making

Juve Board Resigns! As allegations of corruption continue to swirl around Juventus, the club has announced that its entire board of directors has submitted its resignation to the shareholders and called a shareholders' meeting for the 29th of June 2006.
President Franzo Grande Stevens, vice-president Roberto Bettega, general manager Antonio Giraudo, general director Luciano Moggi, Carlo Sant' Albano, Jean Claude Blanc, Stefano Bertola, Giancarlo Cerutti, Luigi Chiappero, Andrea Pininfarina, Fabrizio Prete and Claudio Saracco.
This latest develpment comes as exposure of the extent of the scandal that is rocking Italian football to the core continues. La Gazzetta dello Sport today reported that the Napoli magistrates investigating alleged wrong-doings by Juventus director Luciano Moggi and associates during the 2004/2005 season have revealed the names of the teams alleged to be involved in illegal activities.
There are allegations of collusion in the appointment of referees for Juventus games, with Luciano Moggi under investigation for allegedly trying to influence the choice of referees.
Antonio Giraudo, another of the resignations, is also being investigated for false bookkeeping.
The resignations come three days before the final day of the season, with Juventus needing just one point to clinch their second successive league title and 29th overall.

i totally agree all clubs imlicated should pay the penalty but just because juventus is the top club in italy we should not getaway with it, otherwise how can future boards learn fromm the mistakes of this one, i feel that milan are not above board, how can they be when the chief of the federation is on the payroll but until they are caught out as we have been then we musy ignore our thought, the fact is the board has resigned simply becaudse they have been caught, lets deal with ourselves and sort out our own house before we look at others...and there will be others
