As a matter of fact I heard about this already but I'm hoping it doesn't happen. If he leaves and lets just say Juve doesn't go back up without Gigi it will be alittle harder. If it were to happen do u think Mirante will have a chance to be the new goalie? Obviously...right?

:p

Still, I could do better but I'm not getting paid for it but if Juve want to contact me they should call my agent at 555-5555. My people will get in touch with their people. :D

We don't need to sell Buffon. I'd sell Camo before him so that's about 8-10m €. We need to get rid of Miccoli 4-5m €....

For our 1st year back in A we shouldn't spend like crazy and wait for the $$$ to come with TV, UEFA...revenus. We'd still be competitive with the squad we have right now and would make at least the UEFA cup. I dare to say we'd finish 4th for a CL qual. spot.

OUT: Tudor(2-3m), Giannichedda(1-1.5m €), Camoranesi(8-10m €), Belardi(0), Guzman(2-2.5m €), Olivera(3m €), Legrottaglie (2m €), Zalayeta(3-4m €), De Ceglie(loan), Urbano(1m € ), Miccoli(5m €), Zebina(3-3.5m €), Kapo(3-4m €), Mirante(loan or keep him if he wants to stay)... That's about 33-39.5m € in our pockets.

We could bring in Grygera(replace Zebina) and Faty(replace Tudor) for free(I think they are), bring back Konko(replace Camoranesi with Marchionni as starter), Nocerino(replace Giannichedda) and Criscito(replace Legrottaglie) for our co-ownership(6m €), Trini(Primavera) as 3rd keeper, Odemwingie(replace Zalayeta(6-7m €) and Sneijder to replace De Ceglie and be Nedved's successor(12m €), Bojinov's ½(4-6m €). If Mirante doesn't want to be backup we loan him out and bring , let's sat Sicignano(1-2m €). That's about 29-32m €.

We make a profit and we didn't sell Buffon or Trez, only Camo. The year after we buy a top center back and top defensive midfielder.

For now we'd have: Buffon; Grygera, Kovac, Boumsong, Chiellini; Marchionni, Paro, Zanetti, Nedved(Sneijder); Trezeguet, Del Piero.

Mirante(or Sicignano); Birindelli, Faty, Criscito, Balzaretti; Konko, Nocerino, Marchisio, Sneijder(Nedved); Bojinov, Palladino. Trini, Piccolo, Odemwingie.

As I said in another thread, a select group from our forum could probably run the club quite well.

Selling to Milan or Inter would create problems for ourselves in the long run; getting back to that level will be hard enough, much less having to compete with having Buffon to save their Nerazzuri or Rossoneri asses every week.

i strongly believe buffon should stay if we have to scarfice with a player or two then let it be trez or cammo. and with the money gained we can sort our selves out but buffon isnot replacable.

In an interview to La Repubblica, John Elkann said that Juventus DO HAVE the means to KEEP BUFFON at Juventus.... BUT for this to happen, BOTH parties have to be happy....

Which means that if Buffon wants to leave, nothing will stop him from doing so.

Let`s not forget that irrespective of the service he is giving to the team now, the fact that he is playing in Serie B and the fact that he is idolised, in summer HIS FIRST PREFERENCE WAS MILAN. This was said by his agent even before the farsopoli sentences were out, when he said that if Juve are relegated it would be the best thing that Buffon and Juve take different paths.

If it wasn`t for Abbiati`s transfer to Torino, the difficulty for Milan to find a club ready to take Dida... and the fact that Milan were unsure about their future, Buffon wouldn`t be enjoying himself in Serie B at the moment.

Those are the facts.... then the media - read Tuttosport as the main source - are free to make it seem as if Buffon said NO to Milan because he wanted to play at Crotone, Frosinone, Spezia, etc etc.

I appreciate that Buffon is taking every game in Serie B as if it is the World Cup final obviously.... but I can`t forget that we were 2nd choice to Milan (Milan was the only club he wanted to go to). Let`s also not forget that for all the service he is giving us in Serie B, he is still being paid Serie A / CL / WC level wages.

In my opinion, if the right opportunity FOR HIM (for example Inter made Zlatan the top paid Serie A player) crops up, he will leave Juve.

With Barzagli and Felipe in defence we'd need more that a goalie in nets to compensate for Gigi's departure.
I dont follow. Barzagli and Felipe would be a stronger pairing than what we currently have, which in turn would leak less opportunities

Obviously Buffon is irreplaceable, and I wasn't implying we put any half decent goalie in there.

Your breakdown is correct more or less. I especially like the Camo part. I dont think ppl realize what a player we have in Marchionni. He tore up serie a with Parma last season and was miles more consistent than Camo. Not to mention getting 8-10 mil on a player in his 30's, when we already have a good replacement lined up, is good business.

If Buffon doesnt want to go, we dont have to sell him, there are many alternatives to make that cash, but if he does so we will sell him and declare that we needed that cash to protect his reputation, same goes for Treze
and its fair towards them, the gained their right to choose now and dont get bashed for that unlike some "others"
I only hope, if we sell any of them, should we get $$, enough to buy similar material and also make a profit out of it, selling them for a downgrade and a small profit is just silly
