Buffon and Camo will be sold imo. Buffon's fee, which will increase once he wins the golden ball, is to good to turn down by management. Also, bringing Barzagli and Felipe will elminate the need for a really amazing goalie.

I obviously want to him stay, but in the end, this is a business, and management dont look at it the same way we do.

I just hope they dont fuck up this deal. He should easily command a 25+ million pound fee.

With Barzagli and Felipe in defence we'd need more that a goalie in nets to compensate for Gigi's departure.

Obviously, I want Gigi to stay. But if we are offered 40-50M Euro, we'll be able to buy the right players to compete in Serie A. In the long run, it might benefit the club.

Who really wanted Zidane to leave? Few I guess, but the money has been well-spent and brought a lot of success for the club.

It won't happen, cuz Buffon loves Juve, we need him so much, the way he played in the last 4 matches made me think that without him juve won't make it in serie A...

the difference between the Zidane situation and this one is that we need our experienced/leadership figures in the team now more than ever. This squad is pretty inexperienced and we have some young players here who need guidance.

Gigi provides a great role model and imo a future captain(although i dont like goalkeepers being captains), he would be the leader of the team after Alex retires.

Also the offer that is stated is much lower than we origanlly paid for him.If hes going to go it should match we paid for him and a bit more as well.

we cant keep everyone on our team. we dont have all the money in the world. CL was a big income for us, sponser wise. one of the 2 will go, face it. id rather have gigi and sell both trez and cammo away.

I agree that selling Buffon would be a big mistake, because we all rmember how we were strugglinh when Peruzzi was sold.

Buffon hates Inter, but money is money and new challenge is new challenge. Still I´d like to hold him forever.

I´d prefer to sell Trez and Camo. With that money we could buy Huntelaar and 2 very good midfielders.

I dont think any1 will pay 40M Euro for a goalie...bit if we are to sell him than ya sell Camo or Trez not Gigi he is irreplaceable...Trez and Camo can be replaced

If Buffon is to leave, then I hope our management will be able to pull out smth as effective as...

Zidane OUT - Buffon, Nedved, Thuram IN :agree:

^^ Probably the greatest management move in football history ;)

hypothetically lets imagine Buffon is sold to say....Chelsea
for 40 M

then we could get : Mascherano Ribery Barzagli

plus we will sign Amelia/Roma

hmm i guess it could be good

:agree: It would be a false economy. No-one, who wants their business to succeed, would sell their best assets! By selling your best assets, especially when the mercato prices are low, you would neither get a good price for them, nor are there any suitable players to replace them. Whatever player(s) you bought to replace them would not be up to the high standard of Trez or Gigi, so our results would not be so good & may subsequently have an effect on our rating & affect our sponsorship deals(that's where the main money for running the club comes from). If our board want to make money, they have to get up off their posteriors and go & find sponsors - not asset strip our beloved club!

We don't need to sell Buffon. I'd sell Camo before him so that's about 8-10m €. We need to get rid of Miccoli 4-5m €....

For our 1st year back in A we shouldn't spend like crazy and wait for the $$$ to come with TV, UEFA...revenus. We'd still be competitive with the squad we have right now and would make at least the UEFA cup. I dare to say we'd finish 4th for a CL qual. spot.

OUT: Tudor(2-3m), Giannichedda(1-1.5m €), Camoranesi(8-10m €), Belardi(0), Guzman(2-2.5m €), Olivera(3m €), Legrottaglie (2m €), Zalayeta(3-4m €), De Ceglie(loan), Urbano(1m € ), Miccoli(5m €), Zebina(3-3.5m €), Kapo(3-4m €), Mirante(loan or keep him if he wants to stay)... That's about 33-39.5m € in our pockets.

We could bring in Grygera(replace Zebina) and Faty(replace Tudor) for free(I think they are), bring back Konko(replace Camoranesi with Marchionni as starter), Nocerino(replace Giannichedda) and Criscito(replace Legrottaglie) for our co-ownership(6m €), Trini(Primavera) as 3rd keeper, Odemwingie(replace Zalayeta(6-7m €) and Sneijder to replace De Ceglie and be Nedved's successor(12m €), Bojinov's ½(4-6m €). If Mirante doesn't want to be backup we loan him out and bring , let's sat Sicignano(1-2m €). That's about 29-32m €.

We make a profit and we didn't sell Buffon or Trez, only Camo. The year after we buy a top center back and top defensive midfielder.

For now we'd have: Buffon; Grygera, Kovac, Boumsong, Chiellini; Marchionni, Paro, Zanetti, Nedved(Sneijder); Trezeguet, Del Piero.

Mirante(or Sicignano); Birindelli, Faty, Criscito, Balzaretti; Konko, Nocerino, Marchisio, Sneijder(Nedved); Bojinov, Palladino. Trini, Piccolo, Odemwingie.
