I see a lot of similarities between Robinho and young Henry. Both players made their switch to the big club rather too early in their respective careers, and as a result they just couldnt get that playing time to demonstrate their abilites and improve. After all, I think all of you guys are forgetting that Robinho is still a young man. He has a long career ahead of him and it is almost certain that he will improve both as a player and man. At this stage of career, I reckon he is likely to be more mentally mature than when he first arrived at Spain. Moreover, I suspect his struggle with Madrid would have taught him some humility or two.
I also like the fact that Robinho brings something different to the strikers that we have right now, and I am pretty sure his pace, and skill would be an asset to this team. Just look at Man U. They have a bunch of mediocre midfield players with exception of Ryan Giggs, but Christiano Ronaldo is so talented that he can create something out of nothing with his sheer ability and class. There is no doubt Christiano is a far better player than Robinho right now, but I think it only comes to show the value of having super talent in the team.
There is every opportunity that he may end up being another Morfeo than Henry, but I think it is a risk worth taking. His signing will instantly restore our credibility as a one the big teams in Calcio Mercato and Robinho, I believe, has the biggest marketing potential in the world as long as he can produce consistently on the field. He is good looking, fantastic skills, and has a smile of 10 year old. Which equals money in modern day world.
