Juventus are being linked with Reggina star Francesco Modesto as they look to strengthen their squad this summer.
The Old Lady have smoothly settled back into Serie A and look set to fulfill their season objective and secure Champions League football.
However, if the Bianconeri are to challenge in Europe and make a Scudetto push next term, they will need to bring in reinforcements.
Modesto is a talented left wing-back, who is waiting for a chance with one of the peninsula’s giants after an impressive three years in Reggio Calabria.
The Crotone native was on the brink of a transfer to Roma last summer, but the move collapsed at the 11th hour.
The 26-year-old is also a target for Udinese and Reggina are expected to demand a fee of around £3m.
Juve may see Modesto as a fallback option should their advances for Udinese stopper Andrea Dossena be rebuffed.
The Friulani are reportedly determined to keep the former Verona man, who made his Azzurri debut against South Africa last November and he is under contract until 2012.

E' quasi fatta per il passaggio di Francesco Modesto dalla Reggina alla Juventus. Il procuratore del giocatore, l'avvocato Bozzo, è da poco giunto a Torino nella sede della Juventus per incontrare il direttore sportivo bianconero Alessio Secco e chiudere l'affare. I rapporti tra la società bianconera e quella del presidente Lillo Foti sono ottimi e pare che sia già stato trovato un accordo: metà del cartellino di Lanzafame del Bari (il cui valore complessivo è di 2 milione di euro) più 4 milioni in contanti. Tanto dovrà sborsare la Juventus, più un ingaggio ancora tutto da definire, appunto, con il procuratore Bozzo. dal canto suo Modesto, classe '82, non vede l'ora di approdare in un grande club dopo tre stagioni con la Reggina dove ha collezionato 98 presenze in serie A.
Il trasferimento del terzino sinistro si concretizzerebbe poi a giugno ma intanto i bianconeri potrebbero blindare l'affare da possibili intromissioni da parte della Roma che già la scorsa estate aveva provato a prendere il giocatore ma senza successo.
