this is impossible to understand. Berbatov is good, no doubt about that, but on the other hand we are betting against half of the richest clubs in the world - not GREAT or SMART idea.
Berbatov has been called barbie indeed in Bulgaria, but this is coz he is really into fashion looking role. Since in Juve we already have another much worse version of Barbie (Bojinov) I don't see how this is a problem.
BTW currently he is traded for around 4.2-4.5 mln. Euros, so I guess we will sign him at the end, just not for the amount of money we have the option (regarding Bojinov).
For Berbatov I would SAY - GO for IT!!!

I don't get it he is not good enough for Juve but enough good for the likes of ManU and Barca :disagree: I really hate so called Juve-material pronoun...

But I must admit his asking price is too much :agree:
I meant that I don't want him in Juve. I prefer we stay with what we have instead of sign him. But even if we lose Trez we should go for somebody else.
I'm saying that bicoz i've watch him more than 200 times. I've watched him for bulgarian NT, when he used to play for CSKA, when he was in Bayer Leverkusen and now too. I must admit that he is a very good player but a bit overated. And with all this media attention I'm not sure that he will make another season like that. And since Barca and Man U are interested in him this doesn't mean we can trust them. Barca were very interested in Gudionsen last summer... Man U were interested in Palladino, Paolucci. ;)

Berbatov is one hell of a player. He is pretty much a complete forward, who can create, score, and is brilliant with the ball at this feet. He's not worth the amount mentioned in the article, but if there was any chance of signing him for a lesser and more reasonable price,i think we should get him without thinking twice.

fantastic footballer one of the best strikers around but considering we need to do a lot of strengthening the price mentioned is far to high and our prioritys for big money should be defence and midfield

i think hes an excellent striker but i think we should lean towards buying Serie A players who perform well here not in england so we dont have to worry about them adjusting.

Juve test Spurs' resolve with £25m Berbatov bid

The chase for Dimitar Berbatov has become Europe-wide, casting doubts on the 26-year-old Tottenham striker’s assertion that he is staying at White Hart Lane.

A bid of £25 million, understood to be from Juventus, has set the mark which the rest will have to match or beat to tempt Spurs into a quick profit on the player they bought from Bayer Leverkusen for £10.9m last summer.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the frame but don’t rule out Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson, with midfielder Owen Hargreaves sealed if not quite signed, wants a world-class striker next.

He will test Spurs’ resolve to keep Berbatov and hasn’t given up on Barca’s Samuel Eto’o either.

I don't believe we will offer 37.5mln euro for berbatov or at least I hope we won't.
I think he is good player but is not good enough for Juve. Here in Bulgaria we used to call him "Barbie". ;)
lol we woul never pay that money for me

    ..

Berba is a bit overrated. I've seen him a lot during his Leverkusen days, one good season with spurs doesn't make him world class. He's not worth more than 12-14m pounds.

Berbatov has potential to be top striker, 25m pounds is a little overstated, but he is definitely a worthy purchase for Juve. If david trezeguet has to leave this summer, we need him for sure.
