Thiago Motta, the man who replaced Davids, had been sent off for two yellows. Not that Motta was to blame. He got the first yellow for a foul on Valerón, which was actually committed by Cocu. And Motta, the No. 23, got his second and a red for another foul on Valerón, committed by Oleguer, who ever-so-confusingly wears 32. The referee? Yes, the man who gave that penalty at the Bernabéu two weeks ago: 1920s moustachioed wally Pedro Tristante Oliva. What a man.
Man, I'd heard that Spanish refs were crap, but that takes the biscuit.

Davids should never have left us. Moggi should just give him a new contract. We are starting to miss him now, especially in big games

an honest trade would be Ferrara for Rafa Marquez. But the son of his nother is injured. no big, and if u were to trade camoranesi, u would trade him for Chelito Delgado

Kaizer, he wanted a new contract and wanted to stay at Juve but Moggi wouldn't offer him a contract to suit his demands
Blame Moggi for the loss of Davids.........
By the way, as soon as he left us, he found his form and is playing very well with Barca. Bugger!

yea, like antonio sed....he dishes the team by saying he wanted to leave and then sort-of insult the powers-that-be, therefore moggi didnt give him a new contract. i think what antonio sed practically sums it up.

btw, i think the whole team is not playing well ATM. one man alone cant change that (and that man is davids). so IMHO, even if we still have him.....we're still be playing crap, coz the whole team is playing crap.

there were two parties, side to the arguement, in all honesty, if eddy didnt piss of moggi n co, and be loyal also, he would got a new contract, but as he kept ****ing aboutas antonio sed, moggi lost love for him...the davids had contact with roma.........game over...no contract.

Davids is not at fault for his departure. He came out and said that he wanted to sign for Juve, but Moggi was not interested in offering him an extension. It doesn't matter what reasons Moggi had, Davids would have stayed if Moggi put the contract on the table. The blame has to lie with Moggi here.

But he had contact with roma that surely would put the stick up moggi, as it certainly would me.
Has that ever been proven? I always thought that was some kind of Media crap, because it would have been illegal for him to sign a contract with Roma.

That doesn't mean that he signed a contract with Roma. In fact, that means nothing, all that means is that he wouldn't mind playing for Roma. If I remember correctly he made that remark in response to a question about him going to Roma because Sensi wanted to buy him or something.

true, and the answer should not have been what it was, especially to moggi n lippi. Roma are the hated, shouldnt even consider joining them...sometimes i wish legro did tho :fero:

I don't see why it has to be that way. I could see this kind of reaction if he said that he'd like to play for Torino, but Roma is just another team in Serie A. If he said that he wanted to join Inter peopel would've been just as upset, and yet I think that's unfair. If a player is playing for one team does that mean he must necessarily hate it's rival? I think that it's unrealistic to expect that.

if i'd be a player then playing for one team and then to play for its main rivals that's just a point of professionalism, u do yr job well everywhere ... and such sentimentals can mean nothing to u. that's sometimes called professionalism!
ah...should i be more passionate to the team??! (Maldini is the best example for me!) as it is not just a job but a love n passion for goood?!

UNHAPPY DAVIDS WANTS JUVE EXIT
Wednesday, 05 December 2001

"There are other clubs that want me and at this point I am certain to leave Juventus," said Davids.

"I was glad to play tonight (Tuesday) and in the second half thought I did quite well. I am a team player.

"And I feel that I am still on top form so if there is no space for me here then I will simply find it elsewhere.

"I am fed up with the situation of sitting on the bench."
Anyone care to draw conclusions based on that?

What's the difference? Who cares whether it was Moggi's fault or Davids' fault? I don't. I'm just sad that the two parties could not settle their differences and we've lost a great champion.

i always thought you could sign a pre-contract with a player on the last 6 months of his current one.

well,at least it works that way in CM:D
