P.S: working on getting you the text in arabic. Moreover the website i linked has a couple of his books in arabic www.alwaraq.net
Ok here it is man, I hope I don't get warned for this post. But I just wanted to share it with you and with all the other Arabic literate members. It is a poem by Yazeed Ibn Moawiya, and it is one of the best romantic poems in arabic litrature! IMO of course!

Damn that's hard to read. Not only is that font really really small to read, but it doesn't have the Quranic/old Arabic ( I assume) "connecting" signs :p

You mean "Tashkeel"? No thats neither Quranic or Old Arabic, it is just a way guide for correct pronounciation. It is always used with Quran because correct pronounciation is imperative to understand and error in reading isn't accepted.

Yea, I didn't know what it's called. We just say the names individually (tashdeed, zabar, etc.). It makes it so much easier to read Arabic for me. :)

Indeed, I know. That's why it's easier to read it in bigger font.

btw, I was at a sheesha bar yesterday, and they played a song by some girl name "Alina" on an Arab channel I don't the name of, but the show (or perhaps the channel, I couldn't figure it out) was called ZOOM. Anywyz, have you ever heard of her? I need to know the name of that song. In the video she's at a club, and then in another scene there are these group of guys break dancing infront of some building.

any idea?

I tried to increase the font size, but I don't know where that option has gone...Anyways copy and paste into word and do as you like...read it in Fuschia if you like:D

Sorry m8 wrong person to ask, I rarely watch music channels, especially Arabic ones....Lately anybody is coming out to sing, if its a male he comes out to act all "Burkish" on tv. If a woman just show skin and shake her ass....Its not about music anymore;)

WoW...

So nice, Rami...

I liked this the most:

Is this Yazeed the same Umawi Kaliph who was loving his maid??

He was so romantic that he was used to throw grapes to her mouth, but she choked eating one of them and died...

He cried so much and kept carrying her body for many days!!!

I tried to help, but all what I can tell is that that's an Egyptian channel called "Mazzika Zoom" and the closest singer I know to that name is Eline Khalaf...

But I couldn't remember the song you are talking about...

Ya it is him, the Caliph, Yazeed ibn Moawiya ibn Abi Sufyan. I don't know about that story but I know that he is the equivelant of the Anti-Christ to the Shiite:D

Ya that part is great I would add the one before it:

Since I am from Makkah, and ultimatly Hijazi, I could totally relate;)

But I love this part also:

Even though the last part could be considered heretic, nonetheless its nice:D....And one could argue that Yazeed did not say that. You know it could be said on his tounge, by some shiite. I am not saying he is an angel but he ain't the devil also.

Nope, no alcohol or gambling :D It's actually called Hookah bar mostly, but every arab guy I meet says it's "sheesha"

Sheesha in KSA is something else, it is called Mo'assil in these parts...
