So why is it possible to predict it for Vidal, saying he is in a decline and will never be himself and he has already maxed but not for Asamoah and Khedira?
Not really predicting more or less than the others I think the big one is getting that 40m now and running it to the bank.

Now, hoping the other two get fit and will resemble new signings to will the void of Vidal leaving while bing 40m richer is the point I think many are trying to make.

#SkyItalia reports what #GdS wrote in today's paper: Juve unhappy with how Schalke handled the Draxler situation but still want the player.

yeah true, hustoink

after the CL, if you told me the mercato would have been just a top AM, and mandzukic, with none of the core players leaving except pirlo i would have been delighted and called it a perfect mercato.

now i am a little nervous. it took 2 frustrating seasons to find someone to fill in del piero's boots. still havent found a guy to fill in nedved's, how long will it take to find someone to fill in pirlo and vidal?

cuspy, i am worried because asa came back from injury at the end of the season, now he is out until further announcement. this is not good because he needs pre seaosn to get in match shape after missing an entire season. how do you expect him to be a vidal replacement when he might not play for a year and a half?

and let's face it, our medical staff isnt exactly great in dealing with injuries

Exactly. Bias.

And about Asa, im worried the most. People tend to talk like if he is just around the corner, and when he comes back he will be the monster CM everyone hopes. 1- the guy is mysteriously injured and like Lion said, he is a potential Pepe right now. 2- He will be used as a LB most likely since uncle path has no official replacement. Seriously...at this rate, asamoah will need maybe half a season to be able to be back and give his trade to the team.

Allegri definitely should have benched him, didn't do it for respect/keeping him driven/balanced relationship between players or stg like that.

It was great to see him leaving for the US, perfect move for both parties.

I have to agree.
The lost of Pirlo the man, and the legend, is a sensitive one. NO buts of ifs..... but in footballing matters, he was hampering us. I have no doubts about this. Specially when having Marchiisio in such a fine form.

Sky: La Juve non molla la presa su Draxler. Anche lo stesso giocatore sta spingendo affinche la trattativa vada in porto

Juventus aren't giving up on Draxler. Draxler is also pushing for the deal to go through.

Schalke DS Heldt: "Draxler? For us the issue is clear, there are no more negotiations with Juventus."

Shouldn't Schalke be the ones upset at our insulting, ludicrous offer?
For a player with injury problems, they should expect a low-ball. I mean we offered ~22 million including bonuses, which is definitely very low.

We need to separate injury risk from player risk. Injury risk can be mitigated with games played bonuses, however, we should bear nearly all the risk for the player based on his performance at health, after all it is our scouting staff that likes the player.

If I'm Juventus I offer clauses that help mitigate risk (this is one I just thought of)
- 15 million base
- 20 million appearance based (payable based off a minimum number of games over the contract). So assume we use Serie A games @ 38 GP. We will say that it is "reasonable" if he appears in 25 games. So let's assume he signs for 5 years...Schalke will be paid 20 million * (1/(25*5)) for each game he plays in that period. At near 0 interest rates in Europe, you can't really argue much for time value of money. So if he plays 125 games over 5 years, Schalke will earn 20 million. If he is sold before that time, Schalke will get 50% of profit made on the player, up to the 20 million.

Examples:
1)Draxler plays 90 games and is sold after 3 years for 25 million because his performance is bad.
Juventus pays = 15+(20*(90/125))= 15+14.4 = 29.4 million + 50% of (25-29.4)=0...so 29.4 million total.
2) Draxler plays 50 games and is sold after 3 years for 15 million because his performance is bad and he is constantly hurt.
Juventus pays = 15+(20*(50/125))= 15+ 8 = 22 million + 50% of (15-22) = 0, so 22 million in total.
3) Draxler plays = 70 games and is sold after 2 years for 80 million because he is world class.
Juventus pays = 15+ (70/125)) = 15 + 11.2 = 26.2 million plus MINIMUM OF (50% of (80-26.2) = 26.9 OR (35 million)), so 35 million in total.

I think that is fair to all parties. Schalke wants to get paid for its young phenom but Juventus doesn't want to pay 35 million for an injury prone player. I believe if Draxler is healthy, 35 million is fair, which is roughly what United paid for Depay. If he isn't healthy, expecting Juventus to fork out 35 million is crazy. If he doesn't pan out due to ability, that is a different issue, and Juventus should bear that risk.

Juventus haven't given up on Draxler + the player wants to move to Juve & is pushing for a deal to go through. #SkyItalia

Either Sky will end up getting rekt again in the end or Heldt is lying.
