There's no way we have gone from €15m to €32m in two days, just shows how unreliable sources are, whichever way around it is.
It does not seem that we are very active now since we know what we are looking for consequently makinig the playground empty for journalists.

You're entitled to it

The most used sentence by people not having any valid arguments yo back up their opinion.
Glad you have it all figured out, genius.

As for valid arguments, Allegri explicitly stated he needs an AM in that press conference a few days ago. Perhaps you need some Omega 3 Fish Oil pills to refresh your memory.

Last year, we had Pirlo's genius (on occasion from free kicks) and Tevez's tenacity (not to mention his goals in the CL) that propelled us all the way to the CL final. We lose a lot of grinta with Vidal.

Allegri might be trying to play more attractive/entertaining football, with less focus on grinta, but where is the creativity gonna come from? Mandzukic? Zaza? Bonucci? :howler:

We are his safest bet to make the elite switch to Bayern in 2019.
Hopefully this time we manage to sell for more than 40 million ;)

32m for this guy sounds very bad. Huge huge gamble.
Dybala for 40 million isn't a huge huge gamble? What's the difference? They are both the same age.

Please don't give me the crap about Serie A experience, or Draxler being injury prone (which we can't surmise from one long term injury at such a young age).

Our mid...

Pogba, Marchisio, Khedira, Pereyra, Sturaro, Asamoah...

6 players. 6. A very strong starting 3. Pereyra, who improved by leaps and bounds last year, and is turning into a very very good player, earning Argentina call-ups. Sturaro, who is an extremely promising young Italian mid. And perhaps Asamoah.

That's an exceptionally strong midfield, with excellent depth.
Strong midfield, but still weaker than last year, and still in need of a creative influence.

We need an AM; of that, there is no doubt.

What the heck are you on about?

Pirlo scored a single goal in the entire CL last year, and didn't have a single assist... I love Pirlo, but he wasn't in the slightest one of our better players in the CL last year, instead he slowed our play and made us look much weaker than when we had Marchisio in that position in the Rof16...

Pirlo possesses genius and creativity. That wasn't evident in the CL last year. I meant it in general, not specifically in the CL. The CL reference pertains to Tevez.

You're a doll. :D

I agree with you though. I want an AM. Even a slightly underwhelming one would be better than no AM at all.
If it implies a Vazquez, Saponara, or even worse, a fucking Sneijder purchase, then count me out.

We sold a quality WC player for 40 million, and we should be getting a quality AM in return. We shouldn't accept any compromises from the management this time around.

Pirlo would still have been very useful, but he was clearly waning this past season and starting from the one before. He is a luxury player who offered something completely different, but it was becoming flashes more than game after game.

We'll miss that quick diagonal pass over to the fullbacks (Lichtsteiner in particular), but it's lessened to a degree having Dybala dropping deep who sees passes better than Tevez does. There is also a greater responsibility from the CMs who now play to not rely on passing him the ball every time, you'll see others forced to make more plays.

The biggest loss is on free-kicks, outside of that he was neither a serious goal threat, and was a moderately dangerous direct assist threat.

I love the revisionism regarding Pirlo these days. Almost as hilarious as DP84's backflipping about the abysmal Vidal.
What revisionism? Pirlo was indeed abysmal last season. However, his impact, passing range, genius, and ability from free kicks shouldn't be underestimated or undermined. He was a creative fulcrum for us. Who are we going to resort to now in the creativity department?

Dybala? Morata? Pereyra? Pogba? Marchisio?
Marchisio and Morata for creativity? Are you fucking kidding me? :howler:

Pereyra as a consistent creative outlet? I don't think so.

Pogba is more about power and physicality, more about individual brilliance than creating for his team.

Dybala? He has the potential, but is not yet a guarantee.

We also used that over the top ball a lot less under Allegri, it was more used for Morata occasionally.

But yeah, we will be fine without him.

Marchisio had 7 assists last season and he also created our only goal in the final. Morata too had 5-6 assists and created several goals in Serie A and CL last season. and i never said Pereyra would be a consistent creative outlet, but one of 4-5 we currently have on the team. rather than having and depend on one guy for all the creativity, we have guys like Marchisio, Pogba, Pereyra, Dybala, Morata who we can rely on to create our attacks

It hurts to say it, but Pirlo was probably our worst player last season (perhaps along with Licht), he really pulled the team back, while Marchisio was playing as a monster at his position.

Allegri definitely should have benched him, didn't do it for respect/keeping him driven/balanced relationship between players or stg like that.

It was great to see him leaving for the US, perfect move for both parties.
