Yes, but there's overpaying. Who else are we even competing with, that we have to pay so much for this guy? Can Milan really afford to pay anything over 20 million for him? And if we refuse to pay that much for him, what choice does Verona have, can they afford to turn down 20m and keep him?

That is a very good point, but we don't know the actual offer and whats media speculation. Also why would Verona buy him for 15m and then sell him for 20m? They bought him to make a profit not settle for 5m.

Okay, so if he flops, how would this signing be different from Secco's unforgivable Amauri/Melo signings which we are still feeling the consequences of today?
According to some Melo was our best Midfielder. :hustini:

I don't see many clubs paying their asking price and if he wants to leave which I think he might have made that clear to Verona then wait it out and see if they lower the price when no one else comes asking.

That's their problem, because for a club with little resources, to pay that much, they must've expected him to explode (which he didn't), so they can later sell him for much higher. They're hoping they can still try to sell his potential, but they're not really in a place to be mkaing demands like that imo

Yep, though that could drag on whole summer, and maybe Beppe will pay the difference just to avoid that and have him with the squad sooner.

Iturbe played one match with Verona as a CAM and scored a goal. He also played on the left for them, but he was more consistent on the right.

    He can play anywhere.
