midfield is a decisive part of the game and Jorginho is an excellent midfielder, regardless of his penalty record.
Except he really isn't. He is very similar to Arthur in that they're both very slow, weak, terrible defensively and only have one strength. Arthur-ball control, Jorginho-good passing. Jorginho's quality is more valuable ofc, but still a very very limited player that got overrated to the sky and back because of team success. No doubt he contributed, but we need players who will elevate our play in the final 3rd

They need to be protected to the maximum, they need a team that controls possession a lot etc.

Arthur has been suprisingly good in defence imo, he needs to work on his long passing and his concentration, he has been losing a lot of easy balls in midfield.

If you actually think that's all we're missing...

Let's not use the Macedonia game as a measure of jorginho, or any other Italian player. Mancini got it wrong, the players played terrible.

Jorginho isn't as bad as some make him out to be regardless of missing some penalties here or there. Big shit, he isnt there for penalty taking.

That’s completely bs again
No, it really isn't. His intensity dropped in the 2nd half and he was too busy sulking and moping looking for fouls. Remind me again what was the sequence of play before Italy conceded their goal? Along with Dollarumma, Cuntobile and Retardi, he was one of the worst players on the pitch last night.

We have an excellent #6 in Locatelli, I don't remember him losing many balls in front of the defense.
Sure...but he is better as a LCM, so we either invest in a pogba type and continue to sacrifice loca in his current role or we bring in a jorginho type and release loca in a position which we get the best out of him.

Sacrifice what? Stats? Idc about that. Loca has been our most consistent player all season playing the 'sacrifice' role. He is a better 6 than 8, especially in Allegri's system. He has never played this position outside of a few games at the Euros.

I want the ball as much as possible at his feet, not him wandering waiting for passes that never come like vs Villarreal. He is a beautiful passer, we need his balls to find Chiesa, Dušan and Zaniolo next season in space, not Jorginho slowing everything down
