But that basically means his signing was not influenced by the inflated market, does it not?
Edit: Sorry buddy, I completely spaced on your comment there so I had to edit this.

The negotiation would have been easier because the player really wanted our team - and had for quite awhile - which can (but not always) limit a team's leverage in negotiations.

And if the team is on good terms with the player, as Bremen was with Diego, sometimes they concede a little as a thank you gesture.

But my point before was that Diego could have gone for more if he was sold after Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema, Zlatan, etc.

Sure. I understand. But he also could have and probably should have gone for less than 25M considering the terms and the fact we got him before the craziness ensued. Secco probably paid too much to begin with.

I would still rather hold Diego for this season and sell him next because his value probably would have went back up.

I don't think that Diego was overpaid, I think his actual price was 20 mil or above (one of the most creative players which was 24 years old then), the main problem is that Diego's price was increasingly dropped in the minds of Juventini after he left and after his recent statements (the one's accepted with the sour grapes sentence).
I am starting to believe only-juve by saying that the Bundesliga's defence is inferior to Serie A's thus making his creativity more enhanced because to be honest, I did not see the creativity you are talking about in a whole season in Serie A. And mind you, creativity is not affected by the entire team, it will always be up to the individual.

After the 'Injury Man' tag is removed from Aquilani. Can we removed the 'The Question Mark' on Jorge Martinez name. Also 'The Soaker' from Momo thread..

He definitely not a question mark as he plays for winger against Bari.. And Momo is not The Soaker anymore, he is more of Mr. Error Passing if someone want to give same tag

What position does this guy really play - winger, SS, striker...???
I believe he's primarily a SS, but is comfortable playing on the wing as well. Hopefully he's back for Cagliari, we need his speed and dribbling up the left flank. Hopefully he can match Krasic.

I hardly noticed that he's fast. Infact i thought he was pretty slow (even in his reactions)....
