I love just about all of Erik Truffaz's albums. Many have a bit of acid jazz, hip hop, or even the occasional Arab chant mixed in.

Perhaps my favorite of his is the "poppier" Arkhangelsk. Saloua is great for its Arab influence. The Walk of the Giant Turtle is great for its electronic influence. Etc...

In Between is a solid album with a variety of styles.

Ah, but no discussion of jazz is complete without mentioning the Death Jazz from Japan's Soil & "Pimp" Sessions :heart:
