Juve Coach Didier Deschamps has seemingly ruled out a Javier Saviola bid after insisting he can’t co-exist alongside Alessandro Del Piero.
The Argentine has been heavily linked with a summer Bosman transfer to the Bianconeri, seeing that there is uncertainty over whether he will sign a new Barcelona contract.
“I know Saviola because I coached him at Monaco and his value as a player is undeniable,” stated the Frenchman.
“However, I think his proposed presence alongside Del Piero in the same team would be a problem.
“You cannot field the two of them together because they both need to have taller players next to them.”
Juventus will visit Vicenza on Saturday and will play in front of a crowd seeing as their stadium does satisfy new safety regulations.
“After last weekend’s events it was impossible to find an ideal solution and we will adapt to the new situation, although it will be strange to play in empty stadiums in the future,” added DD.
“It’s not really a show without the public, but we have to accept the new rules.
“Our last game was against Spezia and we weren’t at our best there. As I’ve said many times, teams play differently against us, they make life difficult.
“We got off to a great start this season which included eight consecutive wins, but things got a little more complicated after that because the opposition had more quality.
“We mustn’t underestimate Vicenza, they are full of confidence after two straight wins.
“Having less games in January and February has allowed us to recharge our batteries and work on our physical side. That’s going to be very important as there’s still a long way to go.”
Juventus are currently top of the table with 39 points ahead of Napoli and Bologna, despite the Old Lady’s nine-point Calciopoli penalty.
