But I understand why the club chose to sell the rights to Sportfive - didn't they pay the club 75 million, and the stadium was around 150 million to build? With the stadium packed every week, it's almost already paid for

Isn't there a shopping mall in the confines of the stadium as well? There must be rent being paid to the club as well from shop owners 
Pay 75 million of your own money to name the stadium after someone else, even if it is the biggest legend in the club's history, would just be crazy. I would hope that when the naming rights contract expires in 15 years, they will then rename it after Alex. I am right in thinking it's ok to name a stadium after a player once they've retired for ten years right?
