Hey man, I was born in the USA - made in America!
I want Italy and USA in the next round.
Good man.

It will be a difficult task and chances are less than 25% it will happen, however anything is possible and I know my boys can win tomorrow.

I was really looking forward to Czech Republic vs Brazil in the next round.

Really too bad that both Italy and Czech can't both go through..
I wouldn't be so sure about that. I hope it's at tie and they both go through.

But i like Ghana and USA also :p

The most important is Italy to top the group to avoid Brazil.
Exactly,Italy to be at the top of the group and avoid Brazil...I think that is possible.
But I would be very happy to see a great Italy performance against Czech Rep.

I hope the players can set aside the Calciopoli troubles and win the confidence back on the field.

I guess this'll be the last match Nedved and Del Piero play against each other (at least on NT level). Make it something beautiful guys!!

well the time is nearly upon us, all italy need to do is not lose really. however we have seen what this attitude has done for them in the past and they really need to go and try and win this game.

what we will almost definitely see is a 2-2 draw with usa narrowly beating ghana. italy and czechs go through and usa go home with a bit of pride that they held their own except for a disastrous first game

Lippi delays team announcement Thursday 22 June, 2006
Italy boss Marcello Lippi has still not decided on his starting XI for today’s Czech Republic tie, reports from Germany are suggesting.

The tactician was set to hold a squad meeting this morning where he would usually unveil his team to the players.

Yet Lippi has now postponed that announcement until 13.00 hours local time, leaving a number of options still available to him.

Although it is believed that he has resolved his defensive plans by dropping Cristian Zaccardo, subsequently moving Gianluca Zambrotta to the right and recalling Fabio Grosso, it is in midfield where there are some doubts.

Mauro Camoranesi is being tipped to come into the side for the suspended Daniele De Rossi, but it is unclear whether the Azzurri will play with two strikers or just the one.

Some are whispering that Luca Toni will be dropped, while others maintain that Lippi will stick to his Francesco Totti, Toni and Alberto Gilardino trident. We’ll have to wait and see…

maybe it is better to come second and play brazil and then avoid a potential clash with argentina in the quaters?
You mean its better to risk going out to Brazil in the second round than go through to meet (the winners of France's group and second place in Spain's group) in the quarters?

This is gonna be it... just confermed bij Lippi

Buffon;
Zambrotta, Nesta, Cannavaro, Grosso; Camoranesi, Gattuso, Pirlo, Perrotta; Gilardino, Totti.

Not a bad formation at all....With one finisher and Totti behind...Looks good. The only change I'd have done is Dp in Camo's place.

i would have played del piero instead of totti, and gone 4-4-2
