You're blatantly exaggerating. It's never gonna happen. Football is #1 sport in Italy and it's a huge market (50-60m people) with historically relevant clubs. It generates around 1bn Euros from domestic viewers, only slightly bellow La Liga, 200m more than Ligue 1 and 300m more than BuLiga. As far as the TV rights for European competitions are concerned, SKY Italia payed hefty sum (around 750m for 3 years) and acquired broadcasting rights for the CL and EL (previously it was shared between Mediaset and SKY), consequently Italian clubs will earn more money than any other club from any other league over the next 3 seasons. Last year for English and Italian clubs the funds deriving from market pool were allocated almost equally, around 90m, for La Liga clubs 80m, BuLiga 60m... This year it's almost certain that Italian clubs will earn significantly more than their European conterparts. Comparison with the Dutch league is entirely absurd. Ajax for instance earned 12m last year from the CL market pool. Italian clubs may have dreadful results in Europe and they'd still get allocated share, since it's unrelated to sporting success.

I am not going into the financial aspects, but if you want me too, we are gonna struggle with EPL alone, lets not even talk about Spanish who has a good youth system and Bundesliga whose attendance is among the top and clawing into the tv rights.

Anyway lets see in 4 years time where the league will be ? I say we will still be in our current state 4 or maybe even 5th best league.

I know what you had meant and that's why I posted few datas to show that Serie A will always be significant, even when historically they have been at all time low for the past few seasons. There's enough demand for its product (more than BuLiga and Ligue 1) to generate decent amount of funds (mostly through broadcasting) and therefore retain good players, not just be a stepping stone for other leagues (some players might leave though); Juve is in this position, while other clubs like Napoli are reluctant to sell and have built solid core over the years. The Dutch league was always a stepping stone, where good players would eventually leave for La Liga, Serie A or EPL.

I am not going into the financial aspects, but if you want me too, we are gonna struggle with EPL alone, lets not even talk about Spanish who has a good youth system and Bundesliga whose attendance is among the top and clawing into the tv rights.

Players aren't gonna leave Serie A to join Burnley all of a sudden, if they have posibility to play for one of the top 5-6 Italian clubs. Spanish clubs are in no better state than Italians, and BuLiga's atttendance means very little (financially) since those tickets are cheap.

But German teams have? Dortmund especially, which instead of building upon their successful CL campaign have lost several key players in prime of their career. Serie A is above BuLiga as far as the league appeal goes.

Whoever wrote that is smoking some crazy shit. The value of the Juve players isn't even the dumbest thing there. In what world is Icardi worth more than Harry Kane? Especially considering Kane is English and English players tend to cost like 30% more than they should. And even if you disregard that Kane is easily the superior player to Icardi
