he would have been great last season in EL and some Serie A games to rest Vidal/Pogba. maybe Vidal wouldnt get injured then and would be his old self all of this season... looking back, Guarin would be great to have even now. wonder how it would have affected our summer mercato and if we would go for someone like Lulic instead of Evra and Pereyra then.

but that January was another masterpiece from Marotta. getting Guarin in his best years for a 31 year old injured and injury prone Vucinic (probably for the same salary too) + Osvaldo for a free loan and peanuts salary to replace Vucinic was amazing business considering we didnt have no cash to spend at all. too bad Inter surprisingly had 1 or 2 people who werent complete retards and decided to stop it in the last second. it was basically a done deal with the players in the hotel ready to sign contracts

It's ridiculously delusional that they think they can seriously challenge for a scudetto and in Europe with a 40 year old leading their attack...

I don’t care if Roma wins 5 Scudetto’s in the next 10 years. I don’t care if we win 3 CL titles. I’d rather have one more year of Totti gracing the field and Roma finishing 8th than see a Roma without Totti win the treble.

Every year with Totti in the squad increases the chances of missing out on CL football for them. Totti is a disease for them on a purely sporting level and they can't see it similar like cult-members can't see that their cult-leader is taking advantage of them.

Roma is so inflexible and harmless with Totti on the field, either they have to play without striker or with only one winger in a 4-3-3, either way they have no chance to win any title that way. If Totti really would care for Roma and not just himself, than he would retire in 2 months. Chances are he is going to hold Roma hostage for many years to come though & the management/coach can't do anything against it without getting lynched by the mobs. A uniquely stupid situation Roma is in.
