Not that, but the reason most of us cheer or support this team is because we fell for Serie a back in the days, and to see Serie a teams failing and not among the best leagues and teams in the world anymore says a lot about the standard league Juve is playing in. Not to forget how fans globally are into EPL and La Liga nowadays because of their recent clubs success.

In Serie a, there's no room to be kind or like any of the 19 teams, but in Europe, I'll obviously cheer for any Italian team against Spanish and English or the top leagues clubs.

According to GDS and CDS Milan and Inter will meet this week to discuss the stadium issue.

There are 4 options:

1) Milan builds a new stadium, Inter renovates San Siro
2) The other way round
3) Both Milanese teams build one new stadium together (unlikely coz the city doesnt want to have san siro unused)
4) both milanese teams stay in San Siro and renovate it from the ground: reducing the capacity to 55.000-60.000, building new stores etc.

according to GDS it seems that Milan is still undecided and thohir is the one pushing for a new stadium for his inter.

furthermore thohir tries to extend icardis and kovacics contracts till 2019.

hes a smart guy, theres no doubt. good for serie a that there are foreign investors like thohir or pallotta who bring money, ambition and new ideas

Thohir shrinks San Siro

Inter president seems to have opted for a redesign of the 'Giuseppe Meazza': seats will be reduced to 55 thousand.

"I want a new home," he thundered Erick Thohir, as reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport. The Inter president has no plans to buy another house luxurious, far from it: the 'new home' is that of 'Beloved'.

The stadium property, after the first experience of Juventus and the Italian design by James Pallotta and the Mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino for the Giallorossi, has always been a forte of the new leadership of Milan. In the last period the general manager Marco Fassone is constantly working to find the right solution, which is the restoration of the San Siro or even a collaboration with the 'cousins' of Milan, also burned from a first estimate of the cost - very high - the construction of the new plant will be built in the area where the Expo 2015 (shortly it will be a meeting between the dg Inter and AC Milan managing director Barbara Berlusconi.

The speech which entices Thohir is a redesign of the 'Giuseppe Meazza', that to make space for shops, restaurants and sacrifice different box seats, going from 80,018 at present to about 55 thousand.

In the hippodrome, located behind the orange sector, will be created as the hospitality area and a shopping mall. Whereas in 2016 the whole stadium in Milan will host the final of the Champions League before that date, the City will intervene the stadium, restoring it without discomfort - or at least I hope - for the spectators.

Italy’s northern city Milan will host the Champions League final in 2016 at San Siro stadium, Italy’s leading sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport said on Monday.

According to the newspaper, the UEFA leaders have found an agreement which will be made official on Sept. 18.

A renovation plan of the stadium worth 60 million euros (77 million U.S. dollars) to be completed by 2016 has convinced the UEFA that Milan was the best choice to host the final, La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote.

“The last fears have been removed,” Sports Councillor of the Milan Municipality Chiara Bisconti was quoted as saying by the Milan-based newspaper.

The fact that a year earlier Milan will host the world exposition – which will run from May 1 to Oct. 31 in 2015 – has reassured the UEFA that the ongoing construction works of a new subway station in the stadium area will also be completed, she said.

The last time that Italy hosted a final of the Champions League was in 2009, at the Stadio Olimpico in capital Rome, when Barcelona beat Manchester United 2-0.

The two Milan garbage deserve it. No one did that to them they did it to themselves. In our case, we were punished for being the dominante team back in 2006. As a long time fan for JUVE I'd never forget that part of our history.

Roma, Napoli and fiorentina (even though I don't like them) are all on the rise and I'd much rather see them in Europe than those other fockers. Clubs like Chelsea, city and even arsenal were not considered among European elite some 10-15 years ago and look at their fan base now in the world. I'd rather see other Italian clubs get to that level and for both Milan clubs to disapear from the picture all together.

I don't care if it's AlbinoLeffe, but there need to be more Italian teams at the top of Europe.

the truth is that the rest of italian teams are not able to be there.

milans revenue (without CL) for example is higher than romas with CL. same story for inter-napoli. there is still a huge gap between the milanese teams and the rest in financial terms.

truth to be told: if italy wants to play a bigger role in europe again, then italy needs the milanese teams. thats a fact. the other italian teams are just too small.

Nothing is written on a stone. If you want to compare these clubs revenue wise, Liverpool's history and trophies is insanely more than man City yet City creating more revenues. City had been around at the top of league for what 3-4 years max !! (not even comparing Chelsea and Arsenal with them).

If the Milan garbage stayed away from the CL for next 4-5 years and clubs like Roma and Napoli constintally qualified for the competition these clubs will easily make more revenues.

Glad they are making a new subway station for the San Siro, if you don't get to the stadium by tram, which takes fucking forever, going by subway is a nightmare. Get off about 2 miles from the stadium and walk the rest of the way.

:agree:, except Napoli can fucking burn in hell with Inter and Milan as well.

Fiorentina, Roma, Lazio etc I'm cool with.

Sabatini: "How much is Strootman worth? There's no price for him because he's not for sale"
"Juve are the same team as last year. You can't really think they're any weaker. But perhaps we have closed the gap"
"We always pay the right price for players - actually sometimes we pay less than that"
"Destro is a top center forward, we know how good a player he is and we're happy to keep him. We turned down bids for him"
"Iturbe is an exceptional player. He'll get the balance right between playing to the team's needs and unleashing his creativity"
"We want to improve on last season's result and I think we have everything in place to challenge for the title"
"For example Dodò was sold because he was never going to be able to develop at this club and city, he was always criticized"
"You're always a bit sad at the end of the transfer window, unfortunately I have to make painful choices"
"I'm never totally happy at the end of a transfer window but I'm pleased with what we have here - a competitive roster"
"Maicon accepted the offer we made him last year and he deserves our respect for that. He's still a top player"

Fuck Milan and Inter. For a long time, Liverpool was the benchmark in the EPL, and they have gone for more than 2 decades without winning a league title, and yet that hasn't affected the EPL brand.

I'm happy if the "NEW" Serie A has teams like Roma, Fiorentina, and Napoli challenging us. As long as we are the established power, the rest can fuck off.
