winning EL > losing CL final
I actually disagree, with our woeful record of CL finals we'd be much better off winning a lesser European trophy. Losing another CL final would screw this club up mentally in Europe for many more years. I don't think it was a coincidence that last time we won the CL was not long after we won the EL.

Baby steps are better.

Bundesliga is better than Serie A. There's no doubt about that. One could say Serie A should follow everything that league has done in recent years to return to glory.
I just meant in pure sporting terms. Bundesliga is definitely better when it comes to stadiums, structure, the tv production etc. So yes, Serie-A needs to go down that route.

But are you really certain that clubs like Hamburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke would beat the milanese clubs, Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina etc.?

If that was said, then it was obviously said as a joke. We're at a stage when Serie A is not that far from Ligue 1. Comments like these were considered hilarious and stupid some years ago.

Not true.
:sergio: you are so crazy about CL :sergio: first UEFA has ruined quality of uefa cup, then fans like you came and do the same :sergio:

The money alone is crucial, and you're forgetting the fact that we'd have already beaten top teams in the QF and SF to be at that position in the first place. That's also not mentioning that you can attract better players knowing that you were a finalist in the CL, rather than winning the EL.

not just now, I meant like ever. Any title is better than 2nd place in CL.
Just like in international football I'd say winning the Confederations Cup is better than losing in WC final.

Not really certain, but teams like Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Schalke are at least constantly having good runs in Europe. I would say they would be the favorites against those likes.

That is just absurd. That's like saying it's better for Roma to play in Serie B so they can constantly win it instead of coming 2nd in Serie A.

It's weaker than EPL and La Liga, but whether it's weaker than the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 is very much up for debate.

Sure, Bayern München is the best club in the world right now and Dortmund are fantastic, but the entire Bundesliga as a whole vs. Serie-A? One could definitely debate.

And as for Ligue 1, I consider Serie-A to be stronger.
IMO it's enough that Bundesliga has 2 top team that compete heavily in the CL (Dortmund actually deserved to knock Real out, but never mind that). People always say how this season we were out of form in the CL. I think that's just another excuse fans use, as we were like the only team that was 'out of form' apparently. When we're not doing well there are always some excuses, but nobody faces the reality and sees one thing -- we choked in hell of a easy group.

I think Serie A is weaker than Bundesliga without a doubt because I think we could easily lose against both of those teams, and we're the ones that piss all over Serie A. Bayern has 9 points less than us with 3 games less played, which basically means we're superior in the league just as much as them. But if we'd to face them, they'd most likely destroy us, like they did not so long ago (rightfully so, they were the strongest team without a doubt). If we'd to see first from Italy play against first from Germany, I say we'd see more losses for the Italian side. Inter and Napoli might win against their teams, but Roma and us would also lose. With Milan you just never know, but in my books Serie A is a weaker league. Roma is strong and has surprised, but we'll see how they manage 2 (actually 3) competitions next season.

When you look league vs league I'd say Italian is stronger than France. But maybe for not much longer. PSG is on the road to become one hell of a team, that's for sure. We're seeing a Monaco that's basically on a similar road. But yea, other teams are quite weaker. I don't know for how much that counts.

Up until Atletico started doing great people were laughing at La Liga all the time and how it's actually weaker than Serie A. But seriously? Barca, Real and Atletico. That's pretty damn scary, and all of them are running for the title as well.

Yeah but I'm not thinking about the money, in Europe this clubs mentality goes to pot, we're the serial screw ups in finals no matter who we've beat on the way, history shows us that. We also had Zidane for many years who failed to win with us then wins in his first year at Real.

I really do think getting our name on a European trophy would do us wonders. And that's not to say the EL is easy, we've got to play at our very best to win this year.

Don't watch it then, because you sound like a little crying baby in every comment you post.
I was not asking for advice. I'm watching it because I love Juve, but that doesn't have to mean I have to be blind and not see how weak the league is. I actually find EPL quite boring and there's no way I could watch it. But that doesn't mean their teams are crap.

It's just bitter fans who can't accept the fact of Serie A downfall that happened long time ago.

I would take the opposite view, that the italian clubs mentioned would be favourites in those ties. But that's fine, really. I'm sure it would be even enough.

But at least when it comes to the bundesliga, it just proves my point that the gap isn't really that big (in this case I'm not even sure it is a gap, in pure sporting terms), and that's all I'm really saying.

But when Dule and other members just shout out "Serie-A is a joke", "Serie-A is pathetic" and at the same time praises Bundesliga up in the skies, they're not really saying anything at all, they're not bringing any nuance and reasoning into the discussion*. They're just venting frustration and knee-jerking, and it gets really annoying.

La Liga is the current best league in Europe.

Sorry, I misunderstood you in your first post. I agree when you say that this team needs a European trophy badly in it's current state. Normally though, losing a CL final is better than winning the EL.

We share almost the same sentiments here.

I consider Serie A to be the 4th best league in Europe. Too far away from La Liga and EPL, not so far behind Bundesliga and not too far away from Ligue 1.

Especially for Juve, the team that lost 5 CL finals, it's better to finish 2nd in CL than to win EL, the tournament which we won more than anyone else alongisde with Inter and L'pool, so we have a chance to surpass them in this season but no 2nd place in CL is better thing than trophy in ur museum  you are fake fan, but it's not the news :sergio:
