The only real reason I could come up with for such a decision is probably tax evasion. The way Inter and Milan in particular did it, were they overestimated crappy and pointless player exchanges.

I agree with all of you, co-ownership is a unique thing in Italian football that I actually wish existed in other leagues as well.

One way or another, if changes are going to be made that are likely to result in fewer young players being sent out to gain experience, a system has to be brought in where they can gain useful experience of playing against adults.

Hard to criticise a team for being cautious about throwing a kid into their team when he's not had to chance to play against experienced, established players, except in training.

its a good idea i think... how many players does juventus have in serie b??? imagine most of them in the same team and loaning the really talented ones to serie a teams for 1-2 seasons or selling them with buy-back options before bringing them back or selling them... that would be a very useful system and we wouldnt have to pay 11M for half of our own player anymore...

why not? If juve B would be in serie B, they'll gain experience against serie B teams (like most of them do now) BUT they'll play with eachother... Imagine a midfielder and a striker getting along very good in juve B in the serie B.. after a year they could make the serie A juve's bench and play together again...

win win if you ask me

B-teams are great for bigger clubs and god-awful for the smaller teams. I want a competitive Serie A and not some La Liga bullshit, so I'm against the implementation of those.

Totally agree. It would severely rustle my jimmies to see a serie B table with Juve B, Inter B, Roma B etc, in the place of the Baris, Spezias and Novaras of this world. It's cheap and tacky.
