Yes, as though a penalty in a match they lost 3-0 would make a difference. Benitez is good in cups, but he is a terrible league coach. Especially in Italy. The game here is too tactical for him. He does better with that "chickens running around with their heads cut off" style in England.

Not many coaches would do better with such an atrocious defense. He should have continued playing with a back 3 as he did not have the right players to switch to a back four and he spent all the Cavani money on offensive players or on mediocre ones like Albiol.
We stomped on the cowdung of Serie A, Nipples Soccer got owned by plucky little Atalanta, Bbilan struggled to a draw against Torino and Roma couldn't play their game and are now +9 behind us.

So true. They lost one offensive player and brought in far too many, when they really needed to be reinforcing their back line. They're all about the glamour signings apparently, when they have the cash to splash.

Inler tried to make his assist look like he was fouled. So hilarious watching him just flop over like he'd been shot. All three Atalanta goals were hilarious. My god, how does Reina not save the first? Just embarrassing, and then both Inler and Fernandez falling over on the second and third. It looks to me like Fernandez was trying to get a call as well, he just goes down so easily when Moralez bumps him. That might even be worse than Bonera. Diving in your own box for a call and causing a goal because of it.
Bonera's smoothness at which he completely fell over in defending against Immobile has the slight edge over Fernandez in my book. Maybe it's not Flamini vs. Pasquato legendary, but for this season it was a gem.
