Galliani is so under-rated right now. The guy has had no budget to work with for the last 3 years, shit youth academy shit stadium no foundations for the club to self sustain itself at a high level. If Berluschoni left him the foundations for Milan to be self sustaining at a competitive level Galliani would still be doing his great business dealings. Most of Milans signings have been free signings in recent years because the budget just wasn't there. There is only so far a team can go when it is that desperate.

Its not Karma its incompetence. The management did very little to prepare the club for life without berlusconi's wallet. They didn't downsize gradually. They forced themselves to do the downsizing immediately. Whoever was responsible for insuring a smooth transition to self-sustenance should take the blame for what is happening.

They finished first, second and third during this radical downsizing process. Ibra carried the team in the first two seasons. The full collapse should have happened last year but El Shaarawy miraculously over-performed and saved the team. It was a stroke of luck. This year there has been no miracles and the team collapsed the way it should have last year.
