lets not forget though they have europa league commitments this season, i just can't see them coping as well with the additional front, not with their relatively small squad
Most pretenders to top 7 have European commitments apart from Roma and Inter, and Napoli have CL which is more consuming. Fiorentina are solid in defense, have a good midfield that retains possession and which is difficult for most teams to play against, decent wing backs (one of them, really good) and they also have plenty of options forward. They have a quite a few new players so it's not certain they'll do well right away and there's always the chance they collapse (doubt it), but if they gel they'll be competing for second, no doubt. Solid foundations.

I don't think Milan and Inter stands a chance against them, Napoli maybe. But then you also never know with the Milanese team I could be wrong, we never see them high up but they surprise sometimes, especially Milan.

I love how Serie A is seeing some great names come to the league without the Milan teams contributing at all.
Honda, whilel not as big a name as the others that have come to Serie A, is still a great player and a huge name in Asia, might attract more viewers from around those parts.

This is shaping up to be the best season in terms of quality in years.

i wouldn't rule them out because they are 'inter' unlike straponccioni and those before him wern't given the time to work with the team like mazzarri will. They are by no means ready to fight for the CL at least not currently unless major reinvestment takes place but i certainly expect them to reach a europa league spot, and without the distractions of europe this season they have a good chance of doing so.

Top 3 a possibility. They were in the fight for it last season with a bad coach. With a few decent players they can challenge with a much better coach. Mazzari is a top coach and dont under estimate him.

Serie A fixtures will be revealed next Monday on Sky, 19:00. I might be going to the first match if we play at home, so I wish we would start of with something decent like Merda, Meelan, Purple Rats or The Garbage Town Boys. Humiliating one of those teams right at the start of the season would be so great. :weee:

I am not worried about Napoli winning the scudetto. While I firmly believe that Benitez is a very good coach and is the only real rival to Conte, the Spaniard's teams usually do not hit the ground running they rather take some time before they start clicking together and delivering results. The loss of Cavani, the change of coach after Mazzari's long reign and the new signings that Napoli made should even extend their initial turbulent period. Do not forget that they are also playing in the champions league which should take its toll on their squad especially that they dont have enough depth for both competitions.
