This year is gonna be tough for us in Italy. We have by far the best team in the league but Conte needs to make sure our players don't get complacent. That decision to play the Supercoppa in Rome, pushed by Lotito, is a perfect example of anti-Juve campaign that we will be facing throughout the year. At least 5-6 teams and their management will use all means necessary to bring us down. IMO we will have much easier job of progressing through CL then playing in Italy, because in Italy the other teams and their fans will literally throw things at us.

Official: Raul Albiol to Napoli
By Football Italia staff

It is now official that Raul Albiol signed a four-year contract with Napoli, completing his transfer from Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old centre-back had already been in agreement for some time, but the news was only confirmed this morning.

Real paid €15m to take Albiol from Valencia in 2009, but it’s believed Napoli have taken him for around €12m.

Albiol underwent a medical in Naples this week and put pen to paper on a four-year contract today.

He is the second Real Madrid player to join the Partenopei this summer after Jose Callejon, while there are reports that there’s also a €35m deal for Gonzalo Higuain.

~25mln spent on Callejon and Albiol :howler: they bought some random winger too.

They had such a strong foundation with Mazzari, even 3-5-2 that was working. Now everything is changed and on a bad way.

I can't believe the terrible moves they've made on the mercato so far. Just those typical Rafa signings; mediocre bench players from other clubs.

Mertens was far from good at PSV.

I wonder why Napoli didnt went for Lamela for 25M instead of the mediocre Callejon and Mertens
Because Roma won't sell Lamela for anything less than 40mln. They bought him for 17mln and he was amazing, one of the best young wingers around. They'd be crazy to sell him for 25mln seeing prices nowadays. Actually they even said they won't start negotiation talks unless someone offers 50mln.
