who gives a shit what you do internationally if you're not number one at home.

Liverpool has won more internationally, but everyone knows MU is the King of England.
What the fuck is this shit? Doing well internationally means more exposure and money. Winning in Europe = prestige and cash. Winning in Serie A means shit compared to winning in Europe.

This is really a terrible perspective with all due respect.

There's a reason why Milan are more popular worldwide than Juventus.

Liverpool won more internationally but those were in the 80s where the sport was barely as commercialized as it is now. Also people associate Man U as the kings of England because they have performed very well in Europe as well as the league very recently in the last two decades in comparison to Pool who have just a Cl title and a couple of poverty cups to their name.

Lets be real here,Juventus need to improve their reputation after all they went through in the last 7-8 years. For that to happen Juventus needs to perform in Europe because no one will stand up and take notice of a team dominating what is a pretty weak league nowadays.

Nope.Juventus are more popular in Italy.Milan without a doubt are more popular worldwide.Lets say its also got to do with the fact that they also have signed many marketable star players over the years apart from their obviously very good European performances.

I think it has something to do with their European history and nothing else.

Yeah, it's not like we didn't own any stars.
Yes we did,but we were/are always known to be more of a team than a team consisting of brilliant individuals.Like Bayern of last season for example.

For Milan i found it be quite the opposite. It was more about the brilliant individuals than the 'team' if you know what i mean.

Yeah, it's not like we didn't own any stars.
Also they bought many stars,we made them.Quite the difference imo when you talk from a marketing aspect.

Barca at the time had the world's best player in Ronaldinho.

Post Ronaldinho ,they added a famous star like Henry. And then the Messi era begins and becomes the face of the team. One reason why Barca have so many fans nowadays i believe is Messi and Messi only.Forwards in football always have a huge fan following more than most.If Messi leaves,i can see the fans dropping down.

Not just CL ofcourse its a big factor in bringing new fans but having famous marketable players also helps you to boost your brand.PSG are heading in that direction.

Barca and Milan both these teams have/had genuine posterboys. Can you say the same about the Bayern team of last year as an example ?
