Whats with Catania's kit, its as if somebody designed it using Microsoft Word processor and used too small a font for the sponsor.

Do Catania even realize the season has started?

Absolutely dreadful out there.....

They should be awarded the Suri Cruise scudetto for this pathetic performance

Glad we didn't get Gomez. Slow and not that good at finishing to justify how bad he is at other aspects of the game. Bayern did the right thing in getting rid of him.

So will Mario Gomez be pre-emtively awarded the Bidone d'Oro like Llorente would be if he put in such a performance?

Can see Catania having a tough season.

Very unlikey they'd go down, but they've lost two key players in Lodi and Gomez and haven't come close to replacing either properly.

Won't be challenging for a European spot this time round.

Fiorentina just look soft.

Sure, they'll win lots of home games, but I just can't see them being tough enough to go and pick up enough points away from home to do more than maybe challenge for third.

One thing we will do is get rid of players who seem to be pushed out of the fringe. We don't play guys just because they are paid a lot or have a big name. If an 18 year-old Scweinsteiger is better than a depressed Deisler, guess who gets shown the door, and who starts 30 Bundesliga games a year for a decade.

Also, don't be surprised if Gomez plays 4 games with 9 shots off target, then plays 8 games and scores 14 goals. he is the most streaky player I've ever seen.
