I don't know how you come up with this, it doesn't make sense but...

However, Del Piero is head and shoulders better than Baggio. More complete.
Negative Ghost rider the pattern is full. As much as I respect Ale, "Raffaelo" Baggio runs the show and will one day be "Presidente d' Italia".

To properly compare Del Piero and Baggio, Roberto should have had a serious knee injury at his prime like DP.
He did, in Viscenza.

Depends. For example if you touch a goalkeeper in today's game it's a free kick. Even as recently as the 90s I remember that was not the case.
The balls are so unpredictable today + back then the keeper could pick up the ball even if it was a pass from his own player. But to say The Black Panther was better than Buffon, I strongly disagree with.

Obviously the evolution of the game has changed it. When Ronaldinho was at his peak I heard a lot of people say that he was better than Pelé. Of course comparing players across a 50 year time period is not great, because everything has evolved to be quicker, more skillful, more physically demanding. Transplant Lev Yashin into the modern game from his era and he'd probably struggle. But have him as a young player growing in the modern game and who's to say he wouldn't be the best in the world?

Goalkeeping then was still very difficult, the ball was like a rock, gloves were not very advanced, and they had virtually no protection.

Today everything is set so we can see as many goals as possible, no one gives a fuck what goalkeepers are facing.
Balls are more aerodynamic so they can travel faster and more precise etc etc

Remember that Jabulani football for the 2010 World Cup? What a piece of shit that was.

We can blame Trezeguet's injury for that. We had to panic buy freaking Marco Di Vaio when Nesta's transfer has already been agreed :sergio:.
It was agreed but nothing to do with Di Vaio, Nesta had a choice of either Milan or Juve and chose Milan.

And it is today too, it takes a masochist to become a good goalkeeper. I have switched the lights out for one goalie and broken a finger for another one who liked to play without gloves and I don't even have particularly strong shot between amateurs or a long playing career.

I'll take that as a compliment.

To properly compare Del Piero and Baggio, Roberto should have had a serious knee injury at his prime like DP.
Baggio's knee was completely destroyed, he tore everything in his right knee, every ligament, tendon, every bit of muscle was damaged, he was out of the game for 2 years, and this was in the mid 80s when knee surgeries weren't as plain sailing as they are now.

DP's injury compared to Baggio's was child's play.
