Nonsense. Yashin was always playing as a centre during his NHL years.

But tbh, opinion that Yashin was the best GK ever is not that rare. I've seen it plenty times.

Well it's the same about every sport. Like Gretzky or Jordan. Some people never saw them but the opinion that they are the greatest ever is just common sense. Or Pele, Maradona, Zoff. We didn't watch them play but we know that they are the best of the best. Time goes by but opinions about the best sportsmen survive .

I can understand how someone can accept that certain player was the best even if he never seen him play. Pele, Maradona, Platini...Like you said common sense. But to enter into discussion comparing two of them like Rus did with Buffon and Jashin is plain stupid.

Yashin it usually seen as the best GK ever, any list you ever see he's usually on it. Buffon is by far the best I've seen in my lifetime.

Always liked Peruzzi and Pagiluca too.

Del Piero had better career on a club level. Achieved more. Baggio on the other hand was more influential for NT. Scored important goals on major tournaments. Hard to compare those two and difficult to say one is much better.
